Resort is nicely laid out. Easy to find beach or pool chairs. Most of the staff are friendly. Enjoyed all of the restaurants, although the breakfast one could be slow. [Details]

Leave your worries and hurries behind you and prepare to relax. If you have never been to an island to stay for longer than a day, prepare yourself for an entirely different flow.
The people are incredibly hard working with a beautiful spirit. Expect smiles and warm greetings throughout your stay.
The main building is huge, and the compound itself is quite lovely and easy to walk through. Curved tracks allow for jogging early morning (before the heat starts), and courtyards are well-tended and full of local plants and birds.
Savvy travelers, be smart and buy into the resort's all-inclusive package, which keeps costs down considerably and ensures you will be full of the drink and food of your choice. With one main restaurant for breakfast, an outdoor spot for lunch, beach bar, and three main restaurants for dinner, there won`t be a whole lot of need to sample the local cuisine off-compound. The variety and quality were wonderful. Seafood was always the best choice, but there were safe "north american" options also.
For a snorkeling adventure that does not require paying extra for an off-resort excursion, go to the towel hut to borrow flippers, mask & snorkel, and then take friends and family out to the first reef (only a 5minute swim)where you will see lots of natural wildlife, including sea turtles, stingrays, a variety of fish, coral, and you`ll see the local conch.
Taking a taxi to town from this location takes roughly ten minutes, but you may not want to go after you have settled-in for a day or so. It is worth it to see the whole island, and you'll never be far away, but some days you may want to enjoy all the comforts the hotel has to offer.
If all you want for your time away from the hotel is to shop, why leave? There is a wonderful little rotating market (different people each day) at the bottom level of the hotel and much of their wares are handcraft/local-made. [Details]

The strong points
Strong points, for us, are individuals whose smiles, charm, good-humour, and island flavor, made the experience complete.
ESTELLE (morning, breakfast counter)
MERCIA, TASHINI, VIVIAN (bartenders)
KEVON (front desk)
RUDAL (waiter @ LaCucina)
The weak points
Some things are old or slightly outdated and may break... hinges, bathroom plugs, doorknob to the bathroom, these broke during our stay... the site overall looked older and likely requires more care than a newer resort.

The resort is very clean, calm and relaxing. Mostly families, so it may not be the ideal place for those in their 20s. However if your wish is to get a true vacation then this is the place. It was safe to leave the resort and walk around. Much cheaper if you eat outside of the resort. There are many places just down the road. A dinner for 2 or 3 people at the hotel will easily be $200 to $300. [Details]

The strong points
Very clean rooms and entire resort for that matter. Safe and peaceful.
The weak points
Expensive.
If you are planning to get a coffee and/or breakfast at the coffee place on the main level, make sure you have ample time and patience. They are extremely disorganized and you will most likely need to keep a close eye on your order.

Hotel was great, clean and comfortable. We asked previously not to be on ground floor with queen or king size bed but we didn't get it. My wife was 4 months pregnant at the time... Would of been nice not to hear all the noise in te complex every morning. Overall great stay. [Details]

Great deal for the all-inclusive price we paid. Perfect location - 10 minutes from airport but you wouldn't know it. Quality and quantity of food was amazing. Island has not got too commercialized yet which we found nice; you were not bothered by vendors, etc. Hotel doesn't have the Carribean flare but we already knew that going down to the Marriott. Maybe not quite a 5 star compared to other resorts we have stayed at but definitely a 4 plus. [Details]

The strong points
Always no problem getting a chair at the beach/pool. Quality and quantity of food in restaurants was amazing.
The weak points
Hotel needs to find alternative method to deal with the all-inclusive guests; don't like the idea of bracelets but signing bills every time you ate/drank seemed senseless. Room needs makeup mirror. Hotel needs to add colour-flowers and shrubs.

People at the resort were top notch. Very friendly and accommodating. Food at the restaurants was plentiful and delicous.
When going to the restaurants do not be in a hurray meant to be a relaxing experience.
Fifteen minute walk to the Carribean where there was good swimming and snorkeling. Could not swim at the beach at the hotel as it was on the Atlantic side with a strong under tow.
Took a half day tour of St Kitts was informative and a half day trip of Nevas. Would pass on the Nevas trip.
Beautiful room with a 15 x 20 balcony; two lounge chairs, table and chairs. Had a good view of the ocean and grounds.
Great shopping where the cruise ships dock. [Details]
