Oasis in Big Resort Area

We are senior couple. One of us is recovering from hip surgery and the other likes to do some serious cycling. This small resort was great for both of us. A small resort is like a small town, you get to know everyone in the community. The staff were friendly and helpful. We would have liked a little more activity, however the view of the ocean is spectacular even from the dining area from where you can watch the waves and seascape. For any one who likes to get out on a bicycle there are good quiet local roads. For serious cyclists, contrary to some information I have read, this is a great place to do some long rides in relative safety on Highway 307's wide shoulder lanes. [Details]

The strong points

Friendly staff. Short distances for people with limited mobility especially with room on ground level. A la carte meals with good menu choices.

The weak points

Music at pool was loud at times. Acoustics in restaurant need attention. Many flat reflective surfaces make for noisy dining experience. The bathroom overhead cupboards are to low for a tall person - many bumps to the head :).
