La Isla Huatulco And Beach Club

Clean rooms , nice staff but very little English understood, food expensive not much selection an all inclusive would help, no ice machine except from bar , no fridge or coffee maker in room, pool was cloudy needs more chlorine daily, no entertainment, very quiet at night [Details]

Booked here because sunwing had no rooms left at the popular Villa Blanca.The Isla is a nice newer hotel , nice pool, friendly helpful staff (little English spoken) high end bathrooms, king beds available.BUT the hotel is a good distance (2 km)away from Santa Cruz and it's beach, restaurants and shopping etc, and further from the nice little town of Crucesita. Taxis are easily available for 25pesos ($2) but it meant a lot of back and forth to eat/beach/explore. A shuttle is provided to the hotel's 'beach club' - ok restaurant (same food as hotel, much better to eat elsewhere ) but not good for swimming and no beach loungers or shelter provided. [Details]
