Binniguenda Huatulco

We really enjoyed the Binnigienda. It is a small, quiet, clean resort with friendly, hard working staff. The grounds and pool area are beautiful. The rooms aren't fancy but they are clean and the king sized bed was very comfortable. The buffet was okay and the a la carte restaurant was good. [Details]

We liked the decore, very relaxing atmosphere, nicely kept grounds. Our room was clean and comfortable, with wifi(228).The ala carte was fun(FRI or SAT only. 1 per week), the buffet was as expected. We ate out which is what we wanted to do. We stayed at dreams a few years ago for 1 week, and got the lay of the land. Last year we stayed at tha Castillo for the price because we knew we would be off resort 90% of the time. The Castillo was ok, but left the door open, so for 40$ more we opted to try the binny. Met nice people from across canada and really enjoyed the relaxed social atmosphere around the lobby bar. Taxi cost 25 peso to laCrucisita, the marina or beach were a nice 10 to 15 min walk. The beach club is better than nothing and probably the reason for the great price. Once the new beach club is online im sure the price will go up substancially.

The hotel is small but very clean and friendly. The buffet is not large but there is always enough choice to find something you like. Unique to the region is a type of cheese that they always have for breakfast quesadillas Make sure your try them.
Be aware that between noon and 1pm there is no food available and between 5pm and 7:30pm no food. So make sure you have eaten at the airport or snack before the buffet closes.
The beach club is limited but you will always be able to have a chair and a cold drink. And the beach staff is amazing.
The shuttle runs often to the beach but the walk is short.
This resort only has shows on the weekend but movies during the week in the lobby of the hotel. It is not busy like many resorts with only about 15 to 20 rooms booked to Canadians. During the weekend many Mexicans fly in to the resort making it somewhat busier. You will get to know the other people staying simply because it is unavoidable with the small numbers. We made great friends while we were there and that normally doesn't happen at large resorts. [Details]

Nice hotel. Great staff, espcially Marta, Bernardita, Adalid,& bartender Julienne. Fabulous shows. Claudia is an exceptional choreographer. Food was very good. We have traveled all over Mexico and this was one of our best holidays. [Details]
