Santa Babara Beach and Golf Resort

We were very impressed about the whole resort. We loved the low-keyed yet stylish décor of the resort and the rooms. The surrounding were well planned and added so much to the relaxing atmosphere of the resort like taking a stroll in a garden. The golf course was excellent enjoyed nine holes of golf. There was lots to do and the pools and beach well spread out so didn't feel overcrowded. The resort was overall quiet even with the many children and the conventions. The food was excellent and the service was always good and the waiters delightful and accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and would come back again. [Details]

The strong points

Well laid out resort; excellent food and service; staff accommodating and very friendly; great golf course; surroundings very inviting; lovely view of the sea and quiet and relaxing.

The weak points

It was far from the towns and cities.There was no daily shuttle to Willemstad.

The strong points

Great week away. Food was great at all locations we visited. Every one we met made you fell very welcome. The girls at the front desk and golf course were great. Special thanks to Rudolph who welcomed us upon on arrival. Also to Jay at the Medi.

The weak points

Only complaint we have was the bed linen. First class resort with terrible bedding. We had a king size bed and not one night did we have proper fitting sheets. They use 2 sheets to cover the matress. Not happy. Pillows are like rocks.

The hotel is as advertised, I would agree it is a five star. It is located in the Santa Barbara Plantation. It has a great private beach, nice room, beautiful decor, lots of nice looking lounging areas, a good 18-hole golf course and an excellent golf training center with driving range, pitching greens and putting green. More importantly, the hotel staff are absolutely professional and friendly. [Details]

The strong points

The experience of sitting at Shor, the seafood restaurant to watch sunset and have dinner under the starry sky is unbeatable.

The weak points

It would be nice to provide free Wi-Fi at least in the public areas. However hotel guests can already do web check-in free at the business centre. The other thing is to provide shuttle to other places to eat or change the in-house menu on a daily basis.
