Our trip was a welcomed change. The resort is very accessible and well kept. Staff are always helpful and visible. Yes - there were shortages. However, we have issues here in Canada. Food was good - never went hungry. Lots of fabulous bread, pizza, pasta, fresh crepes, juices, local fruit and desserts. Beach is beautiful and groomed regularly. The strong points
Beautiful beach and well kept resort. Staff are friendly and helpful. Food was good and special dinners were a nice change from the buffet. We stayed in a Lagoon Room. Quiet and beautiful views. Very clean and comfortable. We will return.
The weak points
Buffet room has been recently renovated. Some sound issues - very loud. Maybe some “sails” on the ceiling to absorb the sound. Water is very hot in the shower and difficult to set the temperature. Little water pressure, but enough to get the job done.

The resort is beautiful, the employees here are so helpful and caring. The prince Yanquiel has made sure everything for my visit has been perfect. The pool is amazing, they have the perfect beach front with numerous bars that make awesome drinks and snacks. Yanelis at the snack bar is also awesome. Upon arrival at the hotel we were greeted by a warm and friendly staff at the reception who quickly registered us and assigned our room. The room was on the ground floor which my wife and I prefer the second floor. Spoke to Kennier, Yanquiel the Prince and Gippsy of customer service and Yunismy, they were attentive to our requirements and within hours they had found a room for us which was to our liking. On three separate occasions customer service called to ensure the room was to our satisfaction. The beach, water, staff everything was beyond and above my expectations. Yes, even the food was a pleasant surprise, great variety and served with taste. Not bland like I was expecting.

Brought my girlfriend to this resort for her birthday. The staff was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure she had a great day. Everyday here was better than the last. Clean rooms and overall clean resort.

This my first time in this beautiful resort. I chose this hotel to spend a romantic days with my sweet and beautiful wife from 27 years. This have been a perfect stay. We feel better than home. Everyone so nice, they really know how toke care of you and how to make you life a wonderful experiences, principally the Prince Yanquiel and Gippsy for sales department.
The food is fine if you are not too demanding people. There is always something very good that could meet your liking, a delicious choking breast, beef, meat balls, omellettes, salads, and other options.
The whole facility is very clean. Good activities, only could be good more parties.

Nous nous sommes rendu au Melia du 31 oct. au 7 nov 2022. Quel beau voyage. Nous avons pu relaxer et tout le personnel était au petit soin. Le service était attentionné. Vers la fin de mon voyage, je revenais à ma table au déjeuner et le café m'avait été servi exactement comme je le voulais. Plus loin, le serveur me regardait et me faisait un clin d'oeil. C'est ce genre d'attention que nous avons eu toute la semaine. Évidemment, si vous arrivez en pensant que c'est le Mexique, vous n'avez pas compris et serait déçu un peu. Je lisais le peu de commentaires négatifs j'ai trouvé avant le voyage et je suis à ce jour encore perplexe. Pour ma part et celle de ma conjointe, tout a été parfait. L'eau était magnifique mais vu le vent, il y avait des algues. Les restos à la carte étaient tous bons. Le buffet nous a toujours surpris et il y avait de la diversité. Il y avait de petits points négatifs mais l'amabilité et le dévouement du personnel nous le faisaient oublier rapidement. Point faible: a manqué de jus d'orange et de ketchup durant la semaine. Il y avait un bar à Smoothie le matin qui compensait. Sinon, le reste était là. Et le burger Melia au snack bar, un vrai délice. Donc je vous le recommande fortement si vous êtes capable de vous dire que vous êtes à Cuba et non au Mexique. Nous allons y retourner à coup sûr! [Details]

Il est dommage que les conditions météorologiques aient provoqué une augmentation de l'arrivée d'algues sur la côte pendant la journée, pour lesquelles elle avait l'air un peu sale à un moment donné de votre séjour, bien que le système de nettoyage établi n'ait jamais été arrêté. Nous nous excusons pour les petits points négatifs que vous avez pu rencontrer, mais il est très bon de lire que la gentillesse et le dévouement du personnel vous ont fait vite oublier. This is our second trip to Melia and we fall in love with this place every time we come! The staff is incredibly humble and friendly, and they always make a significant effort and go out of their way to ensure that their guests are enjoying themselves. The staff has such a positive and kind demeanour that really makes you feel like you are 'at home'. The entertainment was engaging and truly a spectacle. The performers are so young and talented and very friendly and willing to make conversation. The beaches are stunning and breathtaking. Deuxième voyage au Melià Cayo Coco, la première fois avec ma fille (mars 2022) et cette fois-ci seule. J'ai eu droit à quelques privilèges: bouteille de rhum à la chambre et un souper pour client répétitif (je n'y suis pas allée par contre). Le service est excellent partout sur le site. La chambre était vieillotte mais très propre. Tout a bien fonctionné. Le site est magnifique avec beaucoup d'arbres et de plantes. La plage est belle, assez venteuse et avec de bonnes vagues au moment où j'y suis allée. J'ai bien mangé même si parfois ça manquait de variété (fruits et légumes surtout). La Ranchon de la plage est mon endroit préféré pour le midi. Viandes et poissons grillées, musiciens, plage... quoi demander de mieux ! Le soir, passer du temps au lobby est très agréable, même seule. Il y a juste assez d'animation pour créer une bonne ambiance. Bonjour particulier à Osvaldo qui a mis des sourires dans mes soirées. Les animations ailleurs sur le site (plage et piscine) sont conviviales et les animateurs très bons (j'ai participé une fois à la plage). Très belle semaine donc au Melià Cayo Coco. [Details]

Mais nous sommes également conscients que bien que nous consacrions des efforts systématiques au nettoyage, et à maintenir sa beauté, malheureusement en période de hautes vagues en raison de l'apparition de jours venteux, le volume d'algues et la fréquence de leur arrivée sur la côte augmentent, ce qui rend impossible de la garder totalement propre tout au long de la journée. Nous vous remercions pour votre commentaire honnête sur la nourriture. Il est vrai que même si nous essayons d'offrir un bon offert, il y a des inconvénients qui affectent nos offres. Au moins ça nous rassure de voir que vous avez toujours trouvé quelque chose à son goût et que vous étiez capable de bien manger. Nous nous excusons pour les points négatifs auxquels vous avez dû faire face lors de votre séjour. Nous étions vraiment désolés pour les inconvénients liés à la pression de l'eau dans la chambre qui rendait difficile le réglage de la température de l'eau et le manque d'insonorisation dans la chambre. Cette observation a déjà été transmise au service à la clientèle et aussi au département d'entretien pour être examinée par les techniciens, et tenter de trouver une solution au problème au cas où il persister encore. En tout cas, il est bon de voir que cela ne vous a pas empêché de passer une agréable semaine avec nous. The hotel is very small and that was definitely a reason why we chose it. We also wanted and adult resort which Melia is! Our room and the overall hotel clearly needs a refresh and a more modern look (needs love and renovations). Regarding your observation of the lack of renovation of the entire facility, we must inform you that this is something that we have been acting on; we have been able to renovate several blocks, especially the bathroom part, since that is where the original design structure has allowed it. However, it must be taken into account that for any types of work we must adjust to the investment plans established by our corporations and the chain to which we belong. We must also add that we understand that our hotel does not look like some of the recent construction in the area, in terms of design and structure, but it must be taken into account that this is a hotel founded more than 20 years ago, with an original structure that could only change if the hotel were completely demolished. Despite all this, there is something that cannot be denied, and that is that we all work with love and dedication to maintain the hotel with good comfort, cleanliness and a pleasant atmosphere, so that the visitor feels delighted. We understand your comments about the lack of variety of food. We respect your opinion that the offer was terrible and there was not much variety. Wow....where do I start?? So, my husband surprised me with a two week trip to Cuba and told me about it two days before departure!! First week was at The Pullman, second week at The Melia. All I can say for The Pullman is the staff is wonderful! As for The Melia, words are not enough and I wish we had done two weeks here!! First person we met was Yanquiel, The Prince and he made our trip THAT much better! The food...unbelievable for Cuba! Probably the most variety I've seen in Cuba yet! And tasty! From the buffet, to the snack bar, to the beach grill...endless options! All the staff were amazing but the best of the best is the Amazing Orialys....always SO busy but ALWAYS pleasant, smiling and attentive! We had a great time at Melia Cayo Coco even with a hurricane in the horizon…lucky for us we did not lose any electricity. We received a bottle of rhum and sparking wine as we were celebrating our anniversary and birthday. The hotel and rooms are super clean, the staff amazing and friendly even after working long hours. Unfortunately the hotel were missing products on a daily basis but not in a negative way as it was not their fault…it's all about supply…you just had to wait until the next day or so. The beach staff were very entertaining and jovial. Suggestion: club music and a place to dance is needed…as we ended up doing our own party and celebration in the lobby. Last but not least, the beach was nice and always cleaned. Be aware of mosquitoes and sand flies…don't forget to bring your bug spray. [Details]

Fantastic Vacation

Went to Melia Cayo Coco for a week and had one of the best vacations ever. The staff were all so inviting, nice and genuine. They couldn't do enough for us.

The food was excellent, and hotel had all the condiments. I had been to another hotel here and the food was very bland and had no condiments.

Will definitely return to this hotel and recommend it to all.
