Melia cayo coco is a very nice hotel with beautiful beaches and friendly staff. Food was very nice. We enjoy the swimming pool, is not very crowded. Mango and papaya was so juicy. Memorable Vacation

We had a great experience staying at the resort. This was our first all-inclusive vacation, and will be a memorable one.

First of all, I would like to congratulate GM Marco and the Management for having terrific staff members across all areas of the resort - restaurants, front-desks, customer service, house keeping, entertainment/dancers, etc.

I would like to specially thanks Prince and Liz who really took care of us and making sure we had the best experience. We had challenges in getting the restaurant reservations, and hence offered a free gazebo dinner. Also, our room had AC issues, and was appropriately taken care of.

We really enjoyed the entertainment shows every night, and had more fun by participating in some of the dances. They even have quick lessons to learn Cuban dance. We also enjoyed doing Archery (thanks to the Sports Club staff for teaching), playing beach volleyball, activities in the pool, etc.

Some tips for first timers - try to book your restaurant dinners as soon as you reach the resort, don't miss to visit the beautiful Pilar beach, and also take the Catamaran tour (it is an amazing experience specially if you are a decent swimmer)

I also strongly suggest to take clothes and Dollarama items for donations, in adding to giving cash tips. Also, if you like spicy food, take some hot sauce and spices with you, the cooks will add them specially for you if you ask.

This resort is a must visit

This was our first time in Cuba and I couldn't have been more pleasantly surprised by what it had to offer. Nightly events, daily activities and of course the beach!
Pedro at the sports club made the trip well worth our time with all of the kickboxing and tennis training he provided my wife and I. Chino, Edil, Joseph and Oswaldo were also some other staff that made the trip one I will never forget! [Details]

Adult and senior friendly Resort

This resort is an adult's only resort, you can find quiet places as well as fun activities arranged for the guests throughout the day. When I was there, I saw a few seniors with wheel chairs and walkers, they were treated with respect and friendly service by all staff in the resort. I need to watch out for sugar in my diet and this resort provided me with lots of choice, diet drinks, salad, vegetables, seafood etc. I am planning my next trip back to this resort already! People are great as well as the food, staff and amenities. I love the beach, it's so clear and warm. Friendly Hotel staff and accommodating. Great resort

We spent a lovely time in Cuba at the Melia Cayo Coco resort. The staff were amazing and the beach was beautiful. The food was good in the a la carte restaurants and we didn't have a single problem with the resort. There were a few excursions from the resort and we did a nice catamaran one that let us do snorkeling and dolphin watching. [Details]

We had an amazing vacation at MCC .
Yanquiel De Price was such an amazing support for us . He checked in on us everyday and ensured we had everything we needed. When we arrived it was my fiancé's birthday and Yanquiel arranged a special dinner with cake and champagne at the Cuban restaurant and it was so lovely . All of the staff at
MCC are absolutely amazing , they always greet you with a smile and ensure you are having the best vacation . The rooms are very clean and comfortable, the housekeeping and maintenance staff work very hard to ensure everything is always perfect . The reception and servers are always friendly and they ensure you have everything you need at all times . The food and drinks were always very good we have been to Cuba many times and the quality and selection of food and drinks was always great . The entertainment staff at the beach and pool were always very friendly and made it fun with the wide range of activities every day . The resort is beautiful with many palms and flowers , it's a tropical paradise and the gardeners are always working to keep the grounds immaculate. The pool is very beautiful there are always many chairs and umbrellas / palapa's at the beach . You never need to worry about finding a chair and shade at either the beach or pool , there are always spots available . The beach is beautiful white sand and blue water , it is also amazing for walking at any time of the day and there are beautiful shells too ! The water was warm and wavy on breezy days but never rough where you couldn't swim and enjoy .
The entertainment in the lobby and by the pool at night was amazing . They had Cuban bands , dance shows , piano players , rock bands ect. Every night we enjoyed the music in the lobby and then the show at 9:30 pm . We stayed in one of the over the lagoon rooms , if you can book one of these do it ! They are beautiful and the salt water lagoon was the perfect place to enjoy the sunrise and sunset on our patio that had loungers and chairs . It is very peaceful we would book this room again , 2221 . We also enjoyed a lobster dinner courtesy of staying in the lagoon rooms that Yanquiel arranged , and it was delicious .
We did not use the bug spray we brought as we did not need it . The resort does spray for bugs , and you are on a tropical island soooo. We will return to MCC for our next vacation , we had superior service and it was one of the best vacations we have taken . Thank you to everyone at MCC for an amazing experience . [Details]

Best resort in Cuba so far

So far this has been the best resort I have been to in Cuba the staff has been amazing and very accommodating. Yanquiel the prince will make sure your stay is amazing. Always checking in to make sure we have a great experience. The beach is beautiful and clean. The guy cleaning the beach seen my fiancé looking for sea shells and got a bag of them for her. The gardeners made cool animals out of palms for us. And the servers and bartenders have always been friendly and accommodating. They even made a birthday cake for me on my birthday! We had the lobster one night and it was amazing. The rooms are always clean and fridge stocked. Would definitely recommend this resort. My first stay in Melia Cayo Coco

I spent a week here in Melia. There was a great selection of food at the buffet! The staff was very kind and friendly, and always very hard working. Prince and Yoel at the reception were exceptional and extremely friendly.

Jose Emir the air Transat rep is the man to go to if you want to go on any excursions during your stay.

Fermin and Ainsley from the buffet are the friendliest and most responsive waiters, and always greet you with a smile and quick service.

In the lobby bar, look for Aranelys during the day, and look for Jovel in the evening ! Exceptional bartenders !

From the pool bar, Yanelis is a true gem. Makes all her cocktails with lots of love and a smile !

From the nautical club, look for Pavel and Osiris. They are very friendly and will take you snorkeling on the catamaran.

Last but not least, Aliderssy, the star of the tobacco store. She is a GEM of a person, who will take the time to go through the wonderful selection of cigars. [Details]

The melia staff was so welcoming and fun, I had a great stay, Jorge the gardener was such a pleasure to have around, every day we woke up to a new gift (made out of palm leaves.) Everyone here was amazing! The workers went above and beyond. Jameel was super sweet. He helped my friend when she wasn't feeling well and went above and beyond. Yordy was super sweet and kind. After a rocky start at the airport, it was so amazing to be immediately welcomed by bright smiles and a happy attitude by the lobby staff, wait staff, bartenders, and entertainment team. I did not expect this level of kindness from every single person working here, which I believe brought out the kindness and openness in all the tourists that stayed here as well. Yanquiel, who you will soon know as The Prince, will always be making sure that you are having a good time and will help with anything you need. Victor, Oppa, and Yandy from the entertainment team are extremely friendly and ensure you never have a full day with games and dancing everyday. Which brings me to my next point, do the dance lessons! You won't regret it, the instructors are so lovely and will never judge, even if you have no experience. Me and four of my friends booked a week to this resort and it couldn't have been better. The food and service was amazing! Everyone who worked at the resort was very friendly and made it such a great experience. During the day, there were always activities going on, so there was never a dull moment.
