FANTASTIC
My experience was terrific. From the moment I arrived until the time I departed. The Staff, and I mean every Staff Member on the Resort that I encountered, ( which were a lot, in all areas ) went above and beyond and were friendly, happy, helpful ~ good peoples employed at The Warwick. I never encountered or heard of any negative stories/happenings/alcohol episodes ~ only happy and funny amongst any guests. Food~Fabulous! Pool/ Outdoor space ~Just Great! More than sufficient outdoor “smoking areas” Cleanliness~Clean! Just what the Website says/shows. I really don't need to attach pics, as my room/amenities/view~was just as they show. I'm an “aware” traveller and at no time did I feel unsafe in any manner at The Warwick, quite the opposite. Adult, 55 Female, Travelled alone and I upgraded to a Harbour Deluxe Balcony (I'm a balcony person) Not much time spent out on it~but would surely get it again regardless. It's literally an All~Inclusive as they state. You could go and not spend 1c there. Ping pong, pinball, Pac-Man, organized games, bike/walking tours, shows, karaoke, yoga etc. It's all in. (they have a Spa, I heard fabulous things about from other guests, however I did not even check it out~ not a Spa person) Gift Shop had pretty much anything you may be in need of (you buy). Had laundry machines (you pay) Edgewater Grille Rest. & Italian one, I ate at 1x~ both great. I'm a buffet person so I chose the Verandah all other times. Loved the food. Usual ‘late night' menu outside ~ all's great! For the All Inclusive (and you WILL want your meals / drinks included in your trip price in the Bahamas!) it's the place to stay. The location was great for me. (Google the walk time to anywhere on the Island.) Couldn't be happier with The Warwick.

It was mediocre. Nothing special and not terrible
I'll start with check in, I think they did the best they could checking in 100 people at a time. I was disappointed I requested a king bed and ended up with 2 double beds. The rooms were ok, we stayed in a renovated room. The shower set up is awful as the glass doesn't go far enough and you end up flooding the bathroom floor. You get 2 bottles of water for the week and they do not replenish it which is not acceptable considering you can not drink the tap water. There is a small fridge that is empty for the week, would be nice to get a few waters, pops or beers. The lighting situation in the room is terrible, a few more lights in the room would be good. The beds were ok, not overly comfortable. There is a safe in the room that you need to pay extra for, I suggest you don't charge for a safe as it is unnecessary. Now for the food and bars. There is a buffet and beach grill. The buffet is similar to a cafeteria vibe, no ambiance whatsoever. The food is ok, nothing special. I was surprised that the staff do not clear tables as you eat or get drinks. Which I haven't experienced in all of my vacations. The beach grill has your standard burgers, fries and hotdogs. One thing I felt was missing was some traditional Bahamian food. I heard so much about conch and never had it once while there. The Ala cartes were easy to book all at once. I was pleased with the food in all three though I waited 75 minutes to receive my food at the pizza restaurant. Pretty disappoineting. We also had the special dinner (lobster and steak) which was good but it was served in the buffet, why not serve that in an.ala carte with some candles on the table or something to make it a "special dinner". There are 2 bars the lobby bar and the beach bar. The drinks were standard, they ran out if beer 3x during my 7 days stay which is not acceptable at all! The coffee bar was great! The property was good, it was clean. The pool was.clean but very cold! The hot tub was nice but closed.for 3 days while we were there. The pool tables were broken while we were there. You could always find a chair at the beach however at the pool you could not ever find a chair. The beach washroom was disgusting, the doors didn't have a lock that worked and it didn't appear to be cleaned at all while we were there. Didn't get to do any water sports. The shows were good, the animation staff really worked hard at everything they do. I will say I was a bit disappointed as I would have hoped to hear Bahamian music on the resort, at the pre party or in the disco and for the most part heard only Spanish music. Internet access was availible through most of the resort.

Gorgeous boutique resort in the heart of Lucaya
From the room, to the grounds, to the staff everything was incredible at Pelican Bay! It's perfectly located just a short walk from the marketplace and a short, scenic, ferry ride to Taino Beach (where you have access to the beach, pools, etc.). The grounds are beautifully landscaped with stunning water views. We were treated to breathtaking sunsets over the marina from our balcony. The lighting at night creates a magical ambiance throughout the grounds. We were in one of the more updated rooms. It was spacious and modern. I know it's a small thing but I loved the nice touches like hooks on the balcony to hang your beach towels. Housekeeping is every 2nd day..which suited us just fine. There are 3 beautiful pools but they were a bit too cold for us during our visit in February. There isn't a beach on site but in addition to the free ferry to the Taino Beach resort you can also pay $25 for a day pass at the Lighthouse Pointe resort right next door. We enjoyed the breakfast buffet .... lots to choose from and a bit of variety every day. You'd have to be extremely fussy not to find something to enjoy. We also really enjoyed our meal at Sabor Restaurant....wonderful service and delicious food! Bones Bar was also a popular hang out on the water's edge...cold drinks, reasonable prices and stunning views. There are numerous other bars and restaurants within walking distance (we enjoyed the Flying Fish right next door). We had nothing but positive experiences with the staff. Everyone we dealt with was warm, friendly and attentive. We highly recommend Pelican Bay if you are planning a trip to Freeport!!
