Great pool. Loved the swim up bar.The Staff there were great. Room fantastic.

We LOVE this hotel. The beach and staff are, without question, simply the best. We have been there six times now and we will return again and again. It feels like our home away from home.

Ce a quoi je m'attendais ...

This is the second time we have stayed at the Holiday Inn. We had a great time. Stayed for 2 wks this time as opposed to the 1 wk last year. Pool is great, beach is awesome, food is good.

Positifs:
C'est la deuxième fois à cet hôtel (2011 et 2012) et c'est toujours aussi propre et le rapport qualité-prix est excellent. Belle plage, mais l'eau est peu profonde, donc pour la baignade et les vagues il faut aller plus loin. La piscine est belle et grande. Le coin enfant est plaisant et à l'écart. La nourriture est très bonne et variée. Bacon, saucisses, œufs, gruau, etc. au déjeuner, soupes, pâtes, burger, pizza, etc. au diner et poulet, porc, boeuf, pâtes au souper. Plusieurs desserts et a côtés variés aussi.
Pour info, il y a un Wallmart à 2km à gauche en sortant de l'hotel, les prix sont vraiment bon pour les médicaments, les vêtements et les souvenirs.
Points négatifs:
Les salles de bain des chambres sont très propres, mais les joints de silicone seraient à refaire (je sais, je suis pointilleux...) Le minibar dans les chambres est payant et ce n'est pas indiqué (faut aller à la réunion d'info pour le savoir). Les 2 bouteilles d'eau gratuite par jour sont appréciées par contre. L'enregistrement est un peu long, mais j'ai pas vu un hôtel ces dernières années où c'était plus rapide.

Very relaxed, enjoyable vacation--good location

This is our favorite Hotel to stay at in Puerto Vallarta! 6 years in a row and now planning next year! The employees are exceptional and service is great...food and drinks are also #1! 5 butterflies for sure

This was my first trip out of Canada and we had an amazing time! The resort staff were amazing and we felt like royalty! The only complaint was the girls that do the braids at the resort (not the ones on the beach) the are horrible! my braids were starting to come out in less than 24hrs. when we asked for our money back they told us we had to ask the hotel and when we did they were not very eager to help! Other than that our trip was amazing! Big thank yous to Hector and Enrique! Wonderful service!

Beach is huge, walk for miles

3rd time at this resort and just as good as the first 6 years ago. Very clean hotel,awesome staff and the food was great. We always found something to eat. It showing its age but still a great place. The beach area is one of the better ones in the area and security is always around to keep venders from being a problem. Still the best location in Puerto Vallarta.

Not too bad for the price. Service was excellent. Food wasn't great, not much variety and never very hot. There wasn't a comfortable chair on the whole resort. Mini bar not included in the all inclusive. If you did have something out of the mini bar you were charged a lot of money for it. Bed were hard. There was Internet access but the computers were old and the @ key was broken on one. Had wireless but couldn't log on about 75% of the time. Nothing to do in the evening.

The staff was fantastic. There were not enough chairs. You had to get up at 5 am to put your towel on a chair so you could a chair for the day. Even then someone moved towels and took your "spot". We had booked a king size bed and got double beds. We asked to change and were told they only do that in the mornings but we had a trip booked for the day. We were then told we missed it. Other than that the beach, food, and sevice was fantastic.

Very good service! Friendly staff and clean rooms. Maintenance (minimal) required on some rooms. All service staff were excellent!

A PLEASANT SURPRISE... I have been in PV many times, never stayed @ Holiday Inn before, ive stayed @ Dreams, Melia, & many more, Holiday Inn by far for this skilled traveller is the best overall, Quality, vs Price... I will be back in March 2012 as well... Had an awesome trip... Juan Pablo will return....

The staff was excellent, the weather was fantastic, PV is a great place to visit. The hotel was perfect for us,a quick cab ride to downtown or Wal mart. The pool was great as was the beach. If you want a good "spot" then you have to get up early and get your towel on the chair of your choice. This needs to happen before 7 am if you want a great spot. Don't think that you can show up at 10 and get a great chair in the sun. The food was okay, my husband I though was the picky eater and it turns out it was me, but I survived fine. The Mexican and Italian resturants were a nice change to the buffet. The pizza at the snack place was great.They have a juice flavor that starts with a "T", it looks like dish-water but it tastes fantastic. I would certainly return to this place again!The lobby computer is old as the hills, and the key board is Mexican making it difficult to type some things, and the Wifi was off and on the entire week we were there.Over all a great experience!

Overall, not a four star hotel but you get what you pay for.

Overall, the trip was fantastic. The staff are nice and the rooms are ok. The flush handle on the toilet was broken but we were able to make it work. Never did call down about it so cant complain. It was nice for a change not to be having a room near a courtyard with booming cheezy entertainment. Not at this place when we were there. One night the hotel did up a huge Mexican food festival which was great. Pools are nice and clean but do not go there for the hot tubs. Luke warm water and small enouth to be full with 5 people in each. There are four but only two had luke warm water and the jets did not turn on in one. We stayed away. The gym? is with a few tread mills, one eliptical, a couple stationary bikes and one universal. Not big by any means but was enough to do some ligting of weights. The beach along this stips and as I was told by others, is the nicest section of beach along the entire strip, a very good perk. Too bad if you didn't wake up first thing and get the towells onto the chairs, you would be out of luck. Very annoying so be ready to adapt. Food was much better than expected. There is a snack bar where the menue never changed but filled the spot. No fries but hamburgers are good.
It was quiet at night which was great, almost a ghost town on the beach and outside as most people below the retired age usually go into town to walk the "Malacon" strip. A must !
Lots of people between 29 - 49 and only a small handfull of silver tops. Good spot for middle aged people however, we were not there during Christmas or Spring Break. I would go back. Its is only a $ 5.00 ride to the Malacon from there. You would have to walk a bit out on the main street to find any shopping so taxi is the way to go from this location.

It was OK, we got a good price, if we had paid more I would have been upset.
Location is good, bus is right outside to get you downtown.
The food was terrible, trays often empty. Saw crumbs of bacon but no bacon in 7 mornings! Service in restaurants is harsh. If you are lucky enough to get a drink a re-fill is like winning the lottery. Rooms were OK, nothing fancy but we had a fridge that did not work, a shower curtain that went MIA mid week and had to fight to get one back. The free "Wifi" is very hit or miss in the room, you have to be in the lobby of the hotel to get a decent signal. The beach is flooded with vendors, it is NON stop. There is a rope and a security gaurd but this does not make a difference. The security gaurd just watches the harrasement by the vendors.
Overall the location is good, we paid a low price but ended up eating out most of the week so we did not end up saving a thing.

I would say a 3 Star not a 4 star but that being saud the hotel was fine. The A/C was working, quiet and exaclty the right temp. the food was fine not great and the pool was clean.

Blood on bed head board, dirty around the edge of floor, bathtub would not drain, ran out of food on Christmas day at buffet, Mexican resaurant so cold on Christmas day that people were huddling around trying to stay warm

We where not impressed with the food at all or the service.One night we went up to the buffet and our table was gone when we got back.The service at the buffet was so slow the waiter thought we left!The Beach-People went down at 7am to save chairs, so if you weren't there before that you didn't get a chair.I'm on holidays, I really didn't feel like getting up before 7 each morning running down to the beach in the dark, and saving chairs. By the end of the week it was 4:30am cause the rest of the people had gotten the hang of this as well!I went down and people where scramming around with flashlights to get chairs.It was 4:36AM for crying out loud!!Then alot of these people saved chairs weren't used the enitre day!Not fair to others who want a chair and are going to spend the day there.They should have a 2-2 1/2 hour time limit then if you aren't out there by then the crew take you stuff off.Just my opinion!

Very comfortable vacation. Room was clean but toilet didn't flush well. Buffet was fine for price. One bad day of wasps in the restaurant. Staff was friendly and helpful.

It's no four star, but it's a room, don't plan on eating you meals there, a la carte was good

Bel acceuil et personnel vraiment acceuillant, on ne nous saute pas sur le dos en arrivant et on se sens libre. Hôtel vraiment propre et avec plusieurs commodités.

For the price this place is fantastic, the location is excellent, the service is exceptional, what a great place.

We stayed at this hotel in 2006 as a family vacation. We were happy with that stay so decided to book again. Other than some renovations, we were again pleased with this resort and would stay again.
