This was our 7th visit to Karmina Palace and once again we were very impressed with the service and the property.

It was a good hotel,the room was large and everything was very clean. We had a good time, the staff was attentive,as well.

Everything was great,relaxing yet busy, nothing to complain about, from the expanse of the pools which we all loved (even the super fast slide, not for adults though unless you're brave) to the small beach which is great for kids (7 and 4 yrs old), they even went snorkling and saw loads of fish (wait for the calmer times of the day eg low tide). If you want a walk on the long beach just go through the gate when its open during the day. Take a kayak out for a tour of the bay Excellent nighly entertainment. Kids club was a good break for us parents

An excellent resort, awesome hospitality. A nice place to relax, there are thing to do there for all age groups - fun activities. Professional staff.

This hotel was amazing! The grounds were clean and very well kept. Beautiful with color and landscaping. The rooms were huge!
The service was excellent. The people always friendly and wanting to serve. Didn't have one negative experience with the hotel staff.
The food was fantastic. Very flavourful and very fresh. As well there was always a number of options avalaible. The a la carte resturants were very good, but the buffet was also very good.
There were a number of pools, all well kept and beautiful. Lots of places to lounge in a chair either on the beach or by the pool. The beach is just a small bay which is small but it is made up for with all the pools.

Good place to come and relax for a week, but dont expect to be blown away...

We loved it and plan to return. Our 5 yr old spent a lot of time on the water slide and in the pool, and some in the cool kids club where they did a variety of activities. Very nice adult pools though we didnt use them. Small beach that had lots to see in its reefs. If beach is important to you this one is quite small. However there is a large one not too far away. Great a la carte. Nice performances at night. I also did scuba diving and found the staff very knowable professional and friendly.

We enjoyed the Karmina Palace 2 years ago and found it just as good this time.
The rating chart below is difficult to answer when you have been there before.

Very nice hotel, good food, good service and beautiful rooms. Some small issues made it just not perfect but we still had a good holiday. Had only one full day of sun with the rest cloudy with sun or just clouds. There was a system going through , I guess. But very warm.

Room was stellar. Food was great at Buffet, Japanese, Italian & Mexican. Great pools and grounds. Small beach. The staff were all super. Fish, golf, kayak - lot's to do. Not for the young who want to party hard on site. I had a riot.

We really liked this property. We were disappointed in the gold upgrade. Access to the premium liquor was limited. It would have been great to have some reserved beach area.

Hotel was a 4.5 star as rated. Excellent rooms, food, and grounds. The beach area is small but sufficient. There is a lack of lounge chairs both in the pool area and at the beach.

We thought the KARMINA PALACE is a great place to vacation. It is probably the nicest hotel room we have had in our numerous Mexican vacations. The staff worked very hard to ensure we had a great vacation. The food was not the best we have enjoyed, but is very good none-the-less. There is a beach at the resort but beware with the deep Pacific water comes the strong currents, ocean swimming is limited. Our one complaint is that there is no hospitality sweet for those of us that have to give up our rooms before our time to depart the resort.

Manzanillo is unlike other Mexican destination we have been. There was nobody trying to sell us something everywhere we did go. We did not see one time-share person that we came across. Manzanillo is a deep sea port city, and tourism is not the main economy driver, though it is important. Traveling outside the resort is easily accomplished, using the local transit, though English is not spoken as readily as other Mexican destinations.

The one item I would like to see for the staff, is for the numerous outdoor carts that are used around the resort to be equipped with air filled wheels instead of the solid ones. The staff struggled to push the different carts over the cobblestone paths, usually with slight grades, air filled wheels would make their task much easier.

We would not hesitate to return to the KARMINA PALACE in Manzanillo.

Loved it. The Karmina palace provided us with the perfect poolside ambience to relax. We will definitely be back.

The Barcelo Karmina is a really nice hotel for families. The building and rooms were kept very clean and staff were always available to help. Overall I would stay here again for the price that we paid.

The resort was nice. Very quiet, not a place to go if you want lots of activities. No parasailing. Beach was not very big. We were there for the Mexican national holiday - resort got very busy with the local people enjoying the resort.

The Karmina Palace was pretty much what we expected. The staff at the hotel are great, very friendly and hospitable. The rooms are clean and the bathrooms are huge! Apparently we were the first North American group there so it was quite quiet. The beach is very small and not very nice.

Holidayed with my husband and our 4 children ages 11-14. We all really enjoyed ourselves. The rooms were great nice and big. The entire hotel was very clean. Service was great, food was good, and lots of things to do to keep everyone busy and happy - would definitely recommend to others.

This is a very nice property with excellent service. The beach is small but worked out very well with our two 7 year olds. The rooms are very spacious and service was very good. Food is good but could have been better with more variety. I would definitely recommend the Karmina Palace

We travelled as a family, 2 adults, 2 12 year old girls. This resort is perfect for families. A little bit for both parties, young and old. Great food, friendly staff, spacious rooms (ours had a separate bedroom for the adults and hideaway bed for the girls), each with a TV so all could have their space. Would go back to this resort in a minute.

Voyage de rêve. La température est idéale, soleil et chaleur aux rendez-vous. Réservation facile dans les restaurants à la carte. Beau site dans un paysage magnifique. Il ne faut pas y aller pour la plage et la baignade à la mer, trop dangereux. Essayez l'excursion à la pêche à l'espadon, journée fantastique.

This resort is Great for people that want to relax and have everything looked after for them. The Staff and all the amenities are terrific. Food is very tasty and varies all the time .The adult pools are wonderful if you want to have some quiet time.

Visited Karmina 4 years ago and vowed to go back. Trip unavailable for last 3 years so when it became available again we booked on July 1, 2010. Was everything we remembered and more. A definite RETURN destination.

It was a beautiful piece of property. It was a small resort, but they utilized every inch of space. It was very well kept, the staff was great and the food was amazing. The rooms were quite spacious and very nice. The resort was much nicer than we ever imagined it would be.

Splendid rooms, very good food at a la carte restaurants, pleasant, friendly staff, solid entertainment, reasonable snorkeling and a general sense of luxury and relaxation at a great price.
We upgraded to Club Premium and felt it was worth the little extra.

Upon arrival we were greeted with a welcome drink and the check in process was quick. We requested rooms next to each other and they had no problem with that.
The 3 al a carte restaurants were excellent and the buffet always had an amazing amount of food.
Beach chairs and pool chairs needed to be saved early in the morning otherwise you would not get one. Beach is on the small side however kayaks included so you could get out on the water.
The rooms were very large and spotless.
I would go back to this resort for sure in a heartbeat.

It would be nice if the hotel had a microwave in the room or a place where we could warm something like milk as our toddler liked to have a warm glass of milk before going to bed at night. Also we could re-heat a snack in the room. The room given to my family was good but we were located near the car park with no view.
