We spent the vacation time at Allegro Cozumel within April 6-13, 2012. For those who are going to choose this place for future vacation, you obviously like it!

Hotel great for the price, food ok, room too. Very nice place for family, best area for scuba diving. Dont take any room on the second floor, room aren't well insulated because of the roof.

The hotel was as I expected it, food below expectaions, long line ups at the beach bar. The main reason we chose it was the quality of the beach.

Nous avons bien apprecie notre sejour dans cet hotel. Accueil, nourriture, activites et service etaient a la hauteur de nos attentes, pour ne pas dire plus.
Je recommanderai fortement cet hotel a ceux qui aimeraient se detentre, avoir du plaisir et retourner avec de beaux souvenirs.

J'ai adoré ce site, c'est extrêmement propre, beau, végétation superbe, nourriture très bonne et les Mexicains sont supers accueillant et serviable.

It was a beautiful resort. Kept very clean and the staff was always very helpful. The room was huge and I loved how each room had there own patio/balcony and hammock.

I'm sorry to take time to reply the request. But the only thing I like to say here: never come back to this resort.
We have to line up for food, drink,...we feel like we begging for food, drink instead we already paid with the trip.
It's very poor resort , low hygienic, such as no servietttes/napkin is provided at the bread arer, every one has to use their own hand to hold a bread for cutting ... disgusting. Not done yet, table cloth, table mat,.... never been replaced, waiter/waiteress just clean the bread crumb or other stuff stays on the table/mat by their own napkin, another low hygienic...
One more, the reception area is ..... so poor with very low class customer service, never got a smile from the front desk people. (I've never seen any where like this, including 3* resorts in Cuba)

The room is ok (except the noise from your next door neighbor, we feel like they are in your room). The beasch is nice.
That's all about dissatisfied trip.
Please mention these to the resort and "hope" they will change.

beach and grounds are beautiful. Ground floor rooms are extremely musty smelling. Long lineups (15 min wait) at pool and beach bar. Would say it is severely understaffed.

nous revenons tout juste du allegro cozumel.. nous avions vus les commentaires avant de partir et avons un peu hésiter avant de réserver. Débutons par le négatif qui en passant n`est pas si pire que ca:Chambre vraiment mais vraiment pas insonorisées..nous entendions ronfler,parler,tousser,etc..par contre ,les chambres sont propres et tres fonctionnelles .ils nous font toujours de superbes décorations avec les serviettes..beau cachet avec les hamac sur le balcon.. c`est vraiment beau.Ensuite,il y avait toujours des files d`attente pour le bar a la plage et pour le buffet car ils nous places eux meme et sont un peu mal organiser.On est en vacances alors ca nous laisse le temps de placoter avec les gens qui attendent avec nous..c`est a mon avis le seul négatif du voyage ( si on peu appeler ca du négatif )Les points positifs sont nombreux:tres belle plage avec de l`eau turquoises transparente et asser chaude . toujours des chaises de disponibles.Site avec un beau cachet rustique avec les toits de paille.Les piscines sont belles bien que nous ne les utilisions pas vraiment.les drinks sont beaux et bons avec une quantitée phénoménale de choix !!! la nourriture est correcte et variée et les restaurants a la carte apparement excellents .( n`avons pas étés )nous étions 11 personnes donc trop difficile de réserver.personnes n`a été malade et tout le monde a bien manger..le site est tres bien entretenu et tres propre avec une piscine de reve pour les enfants.nous vous recommendons d`aller a chenkanab pour faire de la plongée en apnée et voir les dauphins. nous sommes aussi allés faire du snorkeling en bateau a partir de l`hotel..( vraiment nice)en gros,super beau voyage ... j`y retournerais. tres bon rapport qualité prix.(897.12)

Nous sommes partis le 16 mars au 23 mars, très belle température, hotel typique et très propre. La nourriture était excellente et variée contrairement aux commentaires passées. Les jeux d'eau et glissade d'eau parfait pour les enfants jusqu'à 12 ans. La plage très belle, mais un peu de coraux et roches à l'entrée suite à de grands vents et vagues... La végétation était très belle sur le site et les iguanes se promènent partout pour le bonheur de mon petit garçon de 4 ans! Il y a un peu d'attente pour rentrer aux restaurants, mais le service était parfait.

Really not bad at all!! We quite enjoyed the smaller atmosphere. The food was fine, our room was excellent. the resort was clean and well maintained.

The Allegro has been a around for a long time and still proves to be a good hotel on a fantastic beach -with a world class dive shop. The rooms are smallish but adequate as you will be spending all your time outside enjoying the beautiful island. The downside is the food which is OK. There is always something reasonable good to eat, but you have to hunt to find it. The local food offerings are better than the America food offered - they can do nachos really well but the burgers aren't great. Since you aren't paying for a five star hotel its something you can live with. During your stay, take a trip into town or around the island and try some of the truly fantastic restaurants that are available.
Other good points, All of the service staff are really nice a friendly and the maids keep the rooms spotless. The sunsets are perfect!
Our family went with another family (4 adults and 4 kids ) and we always felt safe letting the kids explore the complex by themselves.

Comparing to many vacations to Cuba, DR, Jamaica, Central and S.A. 2nd visit to Cozumel. Great snorkelling- off beach and reefs. Staff are so geniune, energetic and helpful. The worst part were the 2 cloudy days!

The hotel is fine. The thatched roofs leak when it rains and the sound travels quite readily in the second floor rooms.

le buffet tres decevant et nous devions attendre la plupart du temps pour aller manger soi le midi ou soir le matin il manquait toujours de la bouffe.la salle de bain devrait etre refait car tres vieux et pour cette hotel n'est pas un 3.5

Wonderful week at Allegro. Resort was very nice,comfortable and clean. The location is perfect - super beach for swimming,snorkeling and walking. The staff were so nice and helpful. Food selection was beyond any expectations,especially the Mexican feasts. This is a great spot for couples,singles and families. Accomodation was very nice - couldn't have asked for better.

Cozumel est une belle ile paisible et sécuritaire. L'hotel est bien situé. La plage est propre & magnifique. Si vous êtes des plongeurs certifiés il faut pas manquer cette expérience inoubliable. Le centre plongée 5 * porte bien sa cote. Les sites de plongée sont dans un parc National donc énormes poissons et coraux bien concervés. Les sites sont situés que quelques minutes de l'hotel. La nourriture est correcte mais froide.

Endroit isolé, pas de service de navette pour aller en ville, pas de transport en commun, seulement taxi, (dispendieu). Soirées longues, pas d'animation. Difficil à trouver le sommeil a cause du bruit des generatrices.

Great value for money, amazing beach, friendly staff. Food was OK, we always found something to eat; food at Oriental restaurant was below expectations but the service was excellent
We enjoyed our snorkeling and jeep tours.

Une semaine passée a cet endroit très acceuillant tout comme son staff. Le petit complex très propre et bien aménagé est un endroit tranquille et paisible. La plage est assez belle et ont peut y voir des poissons. La nouriture est bonne et assez variée. Les activitée le soir laisse un peu a désirer par contre la ville de cosumel est assez proche et il y a moyen de bien s' y amuser. Je retournerais très volontier a cette endroit

We were pleasantly surprised upon our arrival at how clean the grounds were after reading some reviews.The rooms were clean though the beds were hard.The food was fine.Miguel was a great waiter and Ivan the activity directer was also great.The evening shows were good as well.Will definetly return to this resort.

Définitivement pas un 4 étoiles... Toutefois, bel endroit pour se reposer, profiter d'une magnifique plage (la plus belle), d'un service extraordinaire et d'un minimum de divertissement. Certaines soirées sont tout à fait réussies, mais somme toute inégalité dans la qualité du buffet, des restaurant et des animations en soirées.

Hôtel peu entretenu. Salles de toilette publiques peu entretenues.
Il y a mieux que cet endroit pour le même prix.

Endroit très propres, personnels très gentils et serviable, la bouffe très bonnes. Voyage de 2 adultes et 1 enfants de 3 ans et demi.

Le resort est pas trop grand, tout est proche donc pas de grosse marche pour aller manger ou à la plage.

Avec la piscine pour enfants avec le bateau pirate et les glissades c'est magique pour eux. Il y a une autre piscine plus relaxe et une autre pour les activités.

Les activités sont assez limité, il y en a pas gros et pas de grosse musique non plus. Ceux qui veulent faire la fête ce n'est pas l'endroit idéal.

Belle plage, pas très grande mais corresct, sable blanc avec pleins de coquillages.

Les chambres sont propres et de bonne grandeur. Nous avions une chambre familial ce qui nous donnait 2 chambres communiquante, une avec 2 lits double et l'autre un lit king. Pour 150$ de plus au total sa vaut la peine.

J'y retournerai un jour c'est certain.

We have travelled to this resort before and returned because of the great beach and wonderful food. We were not disappointed the second time. The rooms have been updated since our last trip. Some attention needs to be paid to the thatched roofs as many of them are beginning to leak during a rain. An all round good time, despite one of our suitcases not showing up until the day before we left.

La réception était bien.Très bon service.Les gens étaient accueillant et tres polis.Belle plage ,et tres beau site en général.

Bon Rapport quaité prix. la nourriture tres bonne et le service excellent autant au buffet que resto a la carte,contrairement au commentaire lu avant depart, pas besoin de soulier de plage pour la mer!!!excursion de plongé et apnée a recommander, seul point négatif c'est les toit de paille.. 2ieme etage a deconseiller,c'est comme faire du camping entends tout les bruits exterieur et chambre voisine...

I was happy with my choice of hotel, but I would not say it's a four star

OMG! the beds are like sleeping on the floor, the food is not good thought I was at a resort in cuba.
I believe they must be required to run this resort on a vary low budget.
The staff were rude at times.
several people we met there complained of maids taking things from there room such as a dress and money.
The pools looked like they were in poor maintenance.
The dive shop guys were offensive, and disrespectful, checked out my wife up and down, I was standing right beside her, I witnessed them do this with most women, real rude pigs.
The best thing about this hotel? or motel. was beach, the beach is great.
We spent most of our time there.
We loved cozumel but not this resort.
We will not return here, this seemed like the way all the others felt aswell.
Trust me go somewhere else. They don't care about you there.

We really enjoyed our stay. Beach and snorkling was beyond expectations. Staff was friendly, had to ask several times for change of rooms, our first room was noisy with a unit running outside for the resorts air conditioning, but eventually they moved us to a quiet room. Other patrons noisy and rude but the resort dealt with them to quiet them. The resort is great for kids, families and couples. Young partiers should be directed to cities with night life away from resort.
