Over all it was ok I don,t know if I would go back small thing like rooms being cleaned evry other day. The food was good same thing every day. Nightly shows were great.Pool and beach was good

Le site est très bien, la plage suberbe, les serveurs très bien, par contre, la propreté de notre chambre était assez ordinaire, il a fallu que nous passions la semaine en sandal puisque le plancher était trop sale!!!. Pas assez de variété au buffet. À mon avis, il aurait fallu plus de nourriture mexicaine, aucune guacamole!!! Les verres sont toujours mal lavé à n'importe qu'elle bar!! il y avait soit de la lime ou du rouge à lève!! Il est pas possible d'avoir de verre en vitre en tout temps!! Même au "loby bar" pour prendre un digestif qui n'est pas inclus dans ton forfait et qu'il te fond payer...!!! 6$ POUR PRENDRE UN GRAND MARNIER DANS UN VERRE EN PLASTIQUE SALE!!!Assez ordinaire!. C'est une place très près du centre ville, donc, excellent pour les clubs et les bars!!

belle hotel tres bien situer a coté d'un centre d'achat uppé chambre correct pas de problème avec air climatiser frigo rempli tous les jours tres peu de vendeur sur la plage mais beaucoup de vague pas un bel endroit pour nagé belles piscines tres bien entretenu nourriture bonne mais pas varier du tout au buffet personnels serviable

Just when you think you cant find a better hotel. You do. The people, hotel, room, and beach were amazing. The food was good. Love this hotel and will be going back soon.

Les 3-4 piscines offrent des vues et ambiances différentes.. Attention au chengement d'$ pour des pesos au comptoir- Une employée a tenté de nous subtilisé 100 pesos ( env. 10$) Demandez la facture et vérifiez! Dailleurs, ce conseil esty à suivre PARTOUT au Mexique, mais dans les zones touristiques encore plus!
Le resto Espagnol don Quijote était fermé. Le resto fruits de mer est le même que celui du dîner Claraboya , de belles assiettes, bonnes et bon service, café cappucino inclus, dans tous les restos dailleurs. Le resto mexicain offre une meilleure insertion dans le monde du mexique, car ailleurs, on se sentait plutôt comme au Canada, ou EU... Le resto mecicain est un «must go», pour le décor et aussi les crevettes Tequila... Le personel souriant et gentil dans tous les coins de l'hotel.Spectacle du soir très bons, chambre vue océan : certaines sans balcon, mais plus grandes, sinon, fallait payer un sipplément pour balcon de 38us$ par JOUR! Mais ma chambre a été au premier plancher, pas d'ascenseur a attendre- magnifique vue at patio... Le petit |hic| c'est le bruit car le club des enfants et le parc etaient collés sur cette chambre... Les 2 chambres de sections differentes n'avaient pas de bain, juste des douches.
Ils ont un problème a la réception quand les autobus arrivent- on a failli manqué notre bus car la réception ne fournissait pas a faire le check-in d'un groupe- mais ils étaient 2 alors qu''ils auraient dûs être 4 comme quand nous sommes arrivés- et on n'était que 2!
Plage magnifique mais faut aimer les grosses vagues.
Sports nautiques`BON! Là, y a un problème! Il; n'ont pas de transports, pas de shuttle ni taxi d'inclus, mais si on veut utiliser ce qui est inclus, il faut payer pour s'y rendre, a plus de 2 km , et c'est de l'autre côté, dans la lagune. Et il faut savoir que là, autant qu'à la place où on prends nos serviettes, ILS vous attendent pour vousd vendre des tours de toutes sortes. on a pas la paix!!! Et si vous voulez faire du catamaran -le petit qui est souvent inclus dans les hôtels, eh bien, le capitaine n'est pas inclus!!! Il faut payer 40$ pour une promenade de 25 minutes... Mais , c'est peut-être négociable!!!

Prenez le bus (8.5 pesos) et allez faire un tour en zone de marches aux puces- il y en a a Coral negro,pres de PLAYA CARACOL faites un tours a fiesta americana avant pour connaitre les prix,Et sachez D'avance combien vous desirez payer votre article- car dans les marches, les mexicains sont des spécialistes de la vente a pression et ils jouent un jeu de négociation qu'ils connaissent à fond... J'ai remarqué que leurs prix de départ peuvent etre de 10 fois le prix de vente final!!!

Having the resort front onto the beach was beautiful but the overall experience with Barcelo was well short of expectations and I would not suggest travelling to any of this company's resorts. Foremost, our room was not ready by the promised time and on our last full day we returned to our room for a rest and it was completely torn apart with no staff to be found (pillows and sheets all over the floor). As well, none of the activities (volleyball, basketball, games, etc.) actually took place and none of the advertised water sports were free so there was very little to do if one desired. Finally, our air conditioning broke for two days and any issues taken up with the front desk staff were really just ignored. For us the experience fell short and was more reflective of the Barcelo company and business practice rather than the few great people who did work within the restaurants and bars (they were great!)

nourriture et animation excellente!, hotel bien situe...le service est excellent dans les restaurants et buffet mais a la reception c est selon la personne qui nous accueille...on a eu de la difficulte a trouver de l'eau de la monnaie et a acheter du temps pour communiquer par internet... on a tenté de nous refiler une chambre de categorie inferieure a l'arrivee avec un seul lit alors que nous sommes deux amis heteros et on a essaye de nous faire payer 150$ pour un peu d'eau sur un matelas ce qui avait seché tout seul...en resume c'est surtout un type nommé fernando arias qui etait surtout en cause de toutes les mésaventures...

Hotel was very nice but it is not a resort! This is a great place for singles or people looking to party. Walking distance to shops and malls and is a short cab ride to clubs. I would nit recommend it to families or anyone wanting a quiet, calm vacation. Spring break was nuts.

This hotel was appropriate for the price. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone travelling with children. The staff were pleasant and the hotel was well kept. The food was not bad...not great, but there was a variety. I did have a few concerns about the washing of the drinking glasses at all the hotel bars. They are washed by hand and rinsed in a questionable brown solution??

Considering how long I waited to go on this trip and all the anticipation it turned out to be a nightmare. The flight was horrible. I had the passenger behind me kicking my chair into an upright position when I reclined it. He freaked out at a bunch of us calling us very foul and vulgar names. I asked the flight attendant to help deal with the problem....she tried to but had no success so got the crazy man another drink.....just what he needed. After landing and arriving at the hotel the airport service van lost a piece of my luggage.....let the people before our stop take it with them.....it isn't even a piece of luggage that would match anyone elses....anyways after 30 minutes they retrieved my suitcase. The room had 1 king size bed even though we had asked for 2 double beds....had to wait for a cot to be delivered......the shower did not work...you either got freezing cold water or a burst of boiling hot water. The inside buffet needs some work......the buffet outside and around by the pool rocked. Unfortunately we hit spring break......the kids took over the pool and unless we went to the bar we did not get drinks....plus the drinks lacked in alcohol. I waited so long to go on this trip.....I have returned with nothing more than anger towards the airline, the hotel and the thought that I wasted my hard earned money for the crap we went through.

Good time in Barcelo, selection of food very good, some many bars you can get lost :-)

The resorts pretty good, rooms were extremely clean, pool area and beach were kept really nice, people were cleaning them regularly through the day. The bars at night can get rammed, but that may be because it was spring break. The front desk staff could be nicer and more responsive and we had one night of bad service with one of the waiters of the mexican restaurant. Other than that, entertainment staff and other hosts and servers were extremely nice and did a good job. Overall it was a great experience!

We had a great time at this resort. The front desk upgraded us to an oceanview with a balcony for FREE! They are so friendly and helpful. You may get caught at the front desk sometimes due to the wait but it was really a fabulous place to visit. ENJOY YOURSELF!!! WE SURE DID!!!

Cet hôtel mérite ses 4 étoiles avec la bouffe, on a très bien mangé. Il y a seulement 2 restaurants à la carte, mais on s'y fait. La chambre était parfaite, sauf si vous avez la vue sur l'avant de l'hôtel qui donne vue sur l'arrière d'un centre d'achat qui est bruyant. Côté animation, Angel fait une méchante belle job, mais il manque un peu d'activités. Les spectacles sont plutôt ordinaires, les danseurs(ses) pas les meilleurs et l'éclairage de la scène est médiocre donc on voit rien. Belle piscine pas très grande où il y a l'animation. 2e piscine plus tranquille avec bar ds l'eau. Belle plage avec terrain de volley. Idéal pour les jeunes et qui veulent sortir ensuite. 45$ par soir, transport et bar open à l'endroit choisi par l'hôtel. Pas très loin du centre-ville en taxi, Dominos à côté pour le petit creux en rentrant ds la nuit. Alcool, ailes et nachos disponible à l'hôtel même à 4h am.

This resort was fab. Care free, good food nice beach. In all the whole resort was top notch.

Soyez sur de ne perdre aucun documents. Chaque documents remis par le grossiste, l'aeroport ou la reception peut avoir des frais. D'ailleurs ces documents sont completement inutiles et ils ont deja vos info, ce ne sont donc que des trappes d'argents. Vous ne recevrez aucun service de la reception, que ca soit pour changer votre chambre, leur demander d'appeler des numeros locaux pour changer des reservation d'activites ou pour communiquer avec le grossiste. Encore une fois ils veulent que vous faites tout vous meme pour vous imputer des frais exurbitant de telephone d'hotel. Cle du safebox perdu 100$, carte de chambre perdu 25$, carte de serviette perdu 25$, location de safebox 25$/semaine, internet 5$/heure (au plaza Kukulcan en face de l'hotel, gratuit). les deux restaurant a la carte du soir necessiste de reservation le jour meme entre 8:00 AM et 10:00 AM seulement. Si vous essayer reserver pour le restaurant le jour avant ils vous laisseront pas!! Comme ca si vous aller en activites le matin a 7:00 AM vous aller toujour manquer vos restos a la carte le soir!! Des trappes dans tout les services!! :(
Eviter a tout pris les presentation de Time Share ou de location de chambre par des representant a l'hotel ou a l'exterieur, ils vont vous promettre de vous donner des rabais sur vos activites sans vous demander de depot, mais le jour de votre activite ils vous plante a l'hotel et vous donne un numero long distance qui vous coutera tres cher si vous les appeler pour vous plaindre! D'autant plus ils vous font perdre plus de 2 heure de votre temps a vous vendre un produit (sans service tout inclus) qui vous reviendra plus cher que de le trouver en ligne.
N'echanger pas vos dollars en pesos. A votre arrive tous les prix sont en dollars US a l'hotel ou dans la ville. Si vous vouler payer en pesos ils vous donne un taux de change tres defavorable qui peut ajouter 10% a 20% a votre achat. Si vous faites la gaffe de payer avec carte de credit, ils vont d'abord changer le prix affiches en pesos avec un echange defavorable, ensuite ils vont ajouter un tax de 14% et vous aller finir par payer un autre 4% sur la conversion de pesos en dollars sur votre carte de credit (pour un total de 40% d'augmentation sur le prix affiches. Ex, une activites de SCUBA 120 $USD a l'hotel m'a couter 170 $USD. Eviter a tout prix d'acheter et de retourner un produit sur votre carte de credit, j'au perdu un total de 8% sur la conversion de mon achat et credit retour.

No complaints! Excellent staff they will bend over backwards for you. Location is great, lots to do within walking distance. Oceanview rooms highly recommend once checking in at hotel for an extra $38 a night, well worth every dollar

Exceptionally clean rooms and bathrooms, very well kept hotel and all dining room facilities...even the beach washroom was clean. Meals were quite varied and delicious. I would highly recommended this establishment and return anytime!!!

The disappointment of the 10 hour delay of our flight was quickly overshadowed by the mediocrity of our oceanview room. The hotel was loud and dingy. The next morning we upgraded to a Villa ($96 a night)which was amazing.Highly recommend this accomodation. Food was ok, beach was good if you like the waves. Not enough beach chairs which were plastic with no cushions.

Nous avons apprécié notre visite au Tucancun. La plage avec ses nombreuses vagues nous ont beaucoup amusé ( il faut aimer les vagues car nombreuses a cet endroit). Le personnel de l'hotel très courtois et souriant. Plusieurs piscines et plusieurs bars..... La nourriture y est très bonne mais peu de diversité. Nous avons apprécié le restaurant mexicain. Restaurant de fruits de mer seulement poissons et crevettes (pas vraiment de fruit de mer?!?) Proche de centre d'achat et divers restaurants. La chambre par contre nous a très déçu pour un 4 étoiles. Nous avions un réfrigérateur qui ne fonctionnait pas et une lumière dans la salle de bain, nous avons a 3 reprises avisé la réception sans aucun changement..... Pour la tranquilité nous sommes allé alors que les cégep et université n'était pas recommencé.....il y avait donc beaucoup de jeunes = party et bruyant.... En sommes nous sommes satisfait de notre visite a cet hotel et nous le recommandons sans problème au prix que nous avons payé soit 960$.

This was a great resort if your a young adult. If you are looking to get away and just relax I don't recommend. Everyday there were activities by the pool or on the beach and every night there was a new bar to go and party at. Great place for making friends and having an awesome time. I would go back for sure.

Just spent a week at the Barcelo. All was good except for the lack in variety of the menus at each restaurant. We ended up switching two regular rooms for a villa on the beach, which was a huge bonus and worked well for our two families. Greatly appreciated having the front desk staff make this happen for us.

We have no complaints about this hotel or the service. The staff were friendly and had many had a wonderful sense of humor.

The beach was gorgeous. We do not pay much attention to the pool side or evening entertainment. Our kids (12 and 15) are content to swim and relax on the beach so do not seek out the kids/teen entertainment. There are no umbrellas on the beach-this would be a nice improvement.

The food at the buffets was decent with a wide variety of options. The Mexican al a carte offered a nice evening meal.

We were there the week prior to christmas and it was very quiet, which we enjoyed. Our family would return without hesitation (although a gym at the facility would be nice.

Well for starters me and my buddy booked 2 double beds but they gave us a single king size. They promised everyday for 3 days that we would get 2 double beds the next day. Finally when we did find a room they gave it away on us and said it was flooded. So they had to up-grade us to a better room that was actually flooded!! Awsome!! They cleaned it up and we did stay there. Next the mini bars in the rooms is just a fridge with four crap beers and a few sodas. They would not stock more beer in our fridge unless we paid for it as well was the same for room service. As we descovered talking to other tourists at other resorts that all there's was free and they even had real bars with actual liquors not the cheap sh*t they servied in the hotel and if you wanted a midlevel drink like Jack D. or Spiced again we had to pay! All beer was draft Corona no bootles! Drinks were small and wait was long! The bars at the Pools were alright but at night there was only one lobby bar it was small with an old pool table that again we had to pay for!! Now on to the food the buffet was alright but was pretty much the same thing everyday just maybe in a different coloured sauce. The breakfests and lunch's did not change a bit so if your going for like a week like us I hope you like hamburgers and hotdogs and mystery meat. They did have 3 restaurants that we could book and have a nice dinner and the food was alright but 2 of the restaurants were Mexican and Spanish.... not all that different guys and the seafood place was eather shrimp, fish or Mexican! The entertainment was lacking everyday it was name that movie, water volleyball and water aerobics. It did rain pretty nasty for the first four days we were there and the only thing to do was sit in the lobby bar and continue the game of name that movie! The pool areas were nice and the staff was friendly which was good to see. Did have a nice beach and volleyball was fun! The rooms were nice when they were dry and there is a shopping mall right across the street which gaves us something to do away from the hotel during the rain. All in all i would probably not go back to Barcelo knowing that alot of the other 4 star resorts give and have so much more and cause i just did not really enjoy the hotel, was expecting so much more out of a 4 star resort!! I would give Barcelo 2 1/2 to 3 star max!!

The Hotel has an amazing beach and cool pool with built in lounges and tables in the pool. The service was excellent and the food was great. They have a theme night in the main buffet. The French night was really good.

If you like to party and have a bikini, the main pool is definitely the place to go. They had fun pool activities in the afternoon and it got loud and fun.

The music system was crashing sometimes and they played the same music a bit too much, but otherwise things were really nice and well ran.

Would not have stayed at this resort if had known that would be full of Spring Break kids.
