 Really worth it!

The three of us really enjoyed our stay here. The staff were very friendly and work really hard to keep the hotel and grounds clean. The dolphin area was always being cleaned and I never noticed any smells at all. I am coming back again and would recommend staying here.

 Dreamy

The staff and service was amazing. They went out of their way to serve their guests and were extremely friendly. Loved the soft sand beaches and the shallow waters. Great food fun activities.

 Fun in the Sun

The resort was fantastic, we were upgraded at no extra charge to the tower and loved the additional perks this allowed us. The beach is beautiful if a little shell covered (wear your sandals)and the ocean is a dream to swim in at this spot! The food was great and the service exceeded expectations, will definately go there again!!!!

Overall the experience at this hotel was positive, however the room met none of the requirements we asked for. The bathroom was atrocious - especially the tub and shower.
The food was passable, but very bland.

 Service second to none!!!!!!

From the time we arrived to the time we left they took great care of us. The transfer was done by shuttle van. Three couples and in less than ten minutes we were off from the airport.Check in was fast our bags were in our room in less than 15 mins. The resort is small and easy to get around. The room was just what the pictures showed. The beds are firm. The pillows were great. Twice a day maid service was a bonus. The food was wonderful the a la carte for lunch helps a person not to over eat. The selection, fish chicken beef seafood offered at every meal, what more can a person ask for.

 Housekeeping

The facilities are good, beaches are clean and restaurants and selection of food are good. The Staffs that lead the games/shows are not very professional, eg. water volley ball, the staffs was playing against the guests which is pretty intimidating, they are much stronger team and make us look bad all the time, should have staff on both teams, they should be more friendly and approachable. Some waiter in certain restaurent speaks/understand little English, it would be better if they know a bit more, eg. if we have certain request on food selections. Overall they are very helpful and friendly.

 The Hotel

Staff were very friendly, food and restaurants were very good. Room furniture need upgrade, they are old. They need more benches around the pool and the beach.
The hotel didn't have nightly shows. all programs except one snack bar was closed after 1;00 pm

 Good, but not as good as expected

Having also been to the Dreams resort in Puerto Vallarta, I had some expectations that were not met. The restaurant staff did not display the customer service and eagerness to satisfy clients demands that would be expected. Some of the staff were not as friendly as expected either. The choice of restaurants was disappointing. Also the food was not bad, but disappointing comparing to
the other resorts in the same class. The beach on the pyramid side was too small, but the water and view was beautiful, and sand was very fine. On the other hand, the beach on the preferred club side was huge, but Unfortunetly the sand was very disappointing as it was dirty, rocky and uncomfortable to even walk on in bare feet. The photography services were fantastic, and the resort is situated on some very beautifull scenery. The rooms are great, bathrooms fantastic. I really appreciated how all the rooms had balconies. I highly recommend getting a beach view room ( as opposed to one on the dolphin pool side) and preferably 3rd floor. Cleaning staff did a fantastic job!

 Dreams Resort and Spa

We very much loved the Dreams hotel experience. There were four in our party, all ages, and we found lots to do to keep us all busy and entertained. We would visit a Dreams spa and resort again, for sure. We loved the no bracelet policy, not having to make meal reservations. The food, etc was very good.

 Definitely Not a 5 Star

While the weather was not ideal (cloudy, windy, chilly), this gave us a chance to really utilize the resort amenities. First, we will list the bad:
Room - we upgraded to a suite with living room & balcony with jacuzzi. I had to clean the jacuzzi before using it. It also did not have hot water. The shower/bath tub ran with dirty water, but got clear after letting it run. The toilet would not flush properly.
Outside - the big jacuzzi was luke warm (not ideal when it s cold & windy), the pools shut down at 7pm for cleaning so even if we wanted to use them we couldn t. The service sucked except for one waiter & we were tipping. Seaside Grill we did not even get to experience the food as when my wife asked the waiter a question, she was brushed off & told to wait, so we left - apparently the group of 20 yr olds were more important, we did not return.
Indoors - the World Cafe - food was not good, it was sometimes hard to find something that was edible. The juices were not real juice, we had good service a couple times (we ate there for breakfast, lunch & dinner pretty much every day for 8 days), but it was mostly terrible. We would wait for drinks, or the waiter would ignore us. There was one point where we had to get our own drinks, spoons for dessert (they don t have these placed by the desert as they do the bowls, etc), or even napkins. We often had to order room service in order to have something that we liked for dinner. The buffet often ran out of certain things & would not refill them right away or at all. I would not have paid to eat at the World Cafe, I d rather have McDonalds.
Room Service - no selection at all - and the side of fries even came cold pretty much everytime.
Wireless Internet access in your room is not free unless you upgrade your room to a suite with a balcony jacuzzi.
Spa - waaaay overpriced. This is one thing that my wife & I looked forward to doing, but didn t because the price was astronomical.
Westjet is in bed with Best Day travel services & while it was easy & convenient, they wanted more money to book a swim with the dolphins at the resort than the actual resort did $30 difference - we felt they were trying to rip us off.
They had a magician at the Acuzar - that was a joke & we walked out. The guy would be perfect for a kids birthday party though.
The resort allowed a few vendors to come in to sell their handmade items, which was great - until the people selling these items were constantly harassing us to look or buy their items - not cool.

Good things:
View - was great, very pretty resort
Beaches were clean, pools were clean.
Room Service waiter was awesome. Having the dolphins onsite was great.
Enough shops to buy anything you need should you run out. Booze are premium booze such as Corona (on tap & bottle in your fridge in suite), Absolute Vodka, Smirnoff Vodka, Captain Morgan, etc. Reception & conceirge were friendly & helpful. Housekeeping was excellent & very friendly - we ran into them many times.
Location was great - we got to enjoy the night life.

 Good mixture

Restaurants and food were good, staff very friendly.
The reception to the hotel was as we expect; 1st. an average location, after rejecting it, we got a choice and found the right location.
The Hotel is quite interesting, inasmuch, as it has a different character on every side. Facing the Ocean, only feet away, hearing the surf, was what we wanted and goy.
Dolphins entertained young and old, without being a bother to older folks like us.

According to the price, I did not find the food up to snuff, but it was not bad either.

Would I go there again, no, but then I go rarely back to any pl;ace, unless it is truly exceptional in every aspect.
