this was our 5th trip to this resort and will go back again

This is our third time at this resort. We had requested a room overlooking the quiet pool about 9 months in advanced and we were still not given one upon arrival. We had to wait two days which I did not agree with. We also did the online express check in which was not used either. Nothing was done and we still had to fill out everything once we arrived at the hotel. They have one very rude front desk receptionist, we had him last year and we had him again this year. If you have a complaint he is never helpful and will talk in Spanish to the others while you are there...very rude. The menu's are still the same as they were the first year we were there and the restaraunt furnishings need to be replaced as they are very very worn. The grounds people keep the hotel grounds well kept and are always doing something. Everything is fine with the hotel except for the front desk that would be my biggest complaint with the Temptations.

hotel staff very friendly and helpful. Maid service was excellent, all kitchen staff helpful and cheerful, bartenders were second to none, rooms very clean, people watching and meeting was absolutely tremendous!!!! Activities were so much fun! Have an open mind coming to this place! DARE TO BE TEMPTED!

I had a great time. No complaints about anything. The beach is not great, but it was adequate for me. Depending on room location, it might be difficult to sleep before 6 AM. My room was in a quiet area, so I wasn't bothered. I recommend Temptation Resort to anyone who's not offended by topless optional environment.

over all was great,understanding there was way to many guys to girl ratio,some college kids must have gotten lucky once and told their friends but let me assure you this is not the case,it should really be classified as a couples resort so the women are more comfortable,the entertainment now that chinos is gone has left with him,this girl [sarah 69 ]is a pathetic excuse for entertainment along with the little lad {neil}who seemed to think struting himself was entertainment for everyone,if all that brought me back was the entertainment i would never go back ,it just wasn't good!The staff except for the diegos pool bar were very accomadating and as per pool bar staff they relly need a lesson on service as first come first serve and know the difference between rum and vodka.this was our second time return with no incentive to return the third time and we are not the only couple who felt that way.

It was a wonderful week. Great room, wonderful staff, good food, activities for all, fantastic weather - what could you ask for more.

My Fiance and I went to the Temptation the week of March 12-19th. The Weather was amazing. It is very humid in Mexico so I found things to be damp. But that being said. The Resort was clean the food was good. Lots of selection. We ate at all 6 of the restaurants and had wonderful meals and great service.There was of course topless sunbathers but that was to be expected. On a couple of occasions during silly contests for fun there was a Streaker or two...but it was all in fun...there are NO KIDS at this resort so it was no big deal...ADVICE Shop around...We paid way more than others!

We loved it! The staff were great and the people we met were awesome. We had so much fun. We felt young again.

I went to Temptation Resort with my boyfriend and another couple. I had the time of my life. It is an adult resort but everyone is laid back and keeps to themselves. As long as you can have fun and are open minded you will have a blast.

Excellent! Very Fun resort! Enjoyed the adult entertainment at the pool, the restaurants were excellent (especially the Asian & Steak House), and the all night discos and nightly entertainment were great..just what we were looking for!
The Booze Crews with Chino & Omar is a must do.....that was the highlight of the week for sure.

My friend and I stayed here in 2011 and had a great time so we decided to go back. While we still had a good time in 2012, there were a few major issues that came up. First, on the night we arrived, after they had already sent away 3 other couples, we were told that they did not have a room for us. After we voiced our concerns at having to cab back and forth from their sister resort to temptation, and expressing safety concerns, we were given a room. Not only did they have a room for us, but a room for our other friend who was travelling with us also. Second, the overall service wasn't great. Once we finally got a room, the room we had didn't have a safe in it. We had to ask repeatedly for over a week in order to get a safe installed in our room. The next day we couldn't get the safe to open and we called the front desk 4 times before finally tracking down an employee who could help us ourselves who could help us. On a positive note, the food and bartenders were great.

If you are not a party-er, you can always hang out on the beach or near quite pool. We are not big party-ers but had an amazing time.
Young adults should definitely try Extreme Adventures (they are located in the same stand as the towel person). You do zip lining, ATV and cave diving, the guides are not rude at all unlike some of the other tours that we did. Rudy was the person at temptation that advised us to go. Great guy
We did the Albatros tour to go to Isla Mujeres and the guides were so impolite, when it was time to tip, he opened up every bill and shouted the amount people gave them. When people tipped too little he would make rude comments like "a dollar between 5 people."

Mon conjoint et moi sommes allés au Temptation avec un couple d'amis du 15 au 22 février. Si vous voulez faire le party et ne pas penser aux enfants, c'est l'hôtel pour vous! L'ambiance est excitante et il y a beaucoup d'animation. Nous avons mangé comme des rois, il y avait une abondance de fruits de mer et de bonnes grillades. Le personnel était vraiment bien, en particulier notre gentil Ricardo qui est venu porter nos bagages et qui s'informait de notre séjour à chaque fois que nous le croisions. Je vous conseille de ne pas avoir votre chambre autour du Patty O' bar pcq vous ne dormirai pas beaucoup! Le seul point négatif, c'est la plage. Toutefois, un petit trajet de bus vous amènera à une plage exceptionnelle et gratuite (à côté de la Plaza Kukulcan entre autres). Nous avions lu certains commentaires selon lesquels les gens se faisaient beaucoup solliciter pour des échanges de couples ou autres chose du genre. Toutefois, de notre côté, cela ne s'est pas produit, les gens étaient très respectueux et jamais nous n'avons été harcelé. Je déconseille cet endroit pour les personnes jalouses car il est certain qu'il y a beaucoup de beau monde qui aime se faire regarder de toute sorte de manières!

This hotel is not as large as many of the other Cancun/Mayan Riviera resorts that we have been to and it is not as ideally located as the others are as well. However, it attracts a very friendly, open minded, fun loving group of guest and that is what makes Temptations exceptional. We had a blast and we are tempted (pun intended) to book it again sometime in the near future.

It was a small size hotel, but very clean and cozy place to stay. It was very comfortable to stay. We loved the place and we would come back or recommend to friends!

We are repeat visitors. Really look forward to our visits. We'll be back again next year.

Well maintained older facility, fantastic staff, great beach, topless optional adult resort. This is NOT a swingers resort as some reviewers claim.

The food in all the restaurants is great and the breakfast buffet is fabulous.

All staff were fantastic and always willing and able to accomodate any request we made.

If you are not into late night/early morning partying be sure to book a room overlooking the quiet pool area.

the whole experience at the resort was amazing the food was first class ans so was the service thx to Damian and Ceasar and Norma we are already planing for next year the cleaniest and friendlyest resort we have been too the beds were just right it was all good

I can not honestly say one negative thing about the resort itself. Extreme clean,good food,adult entertainment at the pool in the afternoon was absolutely hilarious.We knew it was adult driven and thats what we received from the resort.

HOWEVER......some of the guests there really need to give their heads a shake. My hubby was hit on twice by gays, I was hit on by 2 other females. It got so that it was really uncomfortable to go sit up at the bar and drum up conversation. So we decided wed just go to the bars as a couple. Well that really didnt work either because then the swingers came swooping in for the kill!

Went to one of the main washrooms about noon one day. Theres a red leather sofa in there, turned the corner and there were 3 oriental young girls getting after it on the sofa. Then one evening we were sitting on out terrace enjoying the evening air, and about 50 ft from us was a girl giving her man a BJ in plain view on their balcony. Then he bent her over the balcony, and well Im sure I dont have to tell you.

COME ON PEOPLE!! Where is your respect for others in the resort? You have a room - USE IT!

The Temptations Logo is "Nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit" (which is cute) Perhaps they need to add to that a bit "Nobody knows you and nobody gives a shit - but keep your nasty shit to your rooms".

We met some wonder couples like ourselves, and they were also of the same mindset.

So, for those reasons - no we would definately not return. A little too skanky for us.

Nous avons aimé la grandeur de l'hôtel, pas trop gros, tous est facilement accessible à proximité de la chambre.

Des trois piscines évidement la plus occupé est la sexy. Environ 75% des femmes font du monokini.
Beaucoup de poupounes. Les jeux organisés à la piscine sont à teneur sexuels ou sexy mais très corrects.
Pour le côté olé olé c'est pas si pire que ça. On voit surtout des hommes, parfois des femmes, qui caressent les seins des femmes.
À 2 reprises des filles de couchaient sur le bar et le serveur versait de la boisson sur elles et d'autres personnes allaient les lécher!

Très animé en soirée pour la discussion, ça fait vraiment bar rencontre. Quelqu'un qui veut rencontrer facilement c'est une bonne place.

La plage pas très grande mais ok, cependant beaucoup d'algues pas très loin du bord donc pour les amateurs de baignade dans l'océan c'est pas un point fort.

Trois des restos à la carte sont très bons surtout chinois et italien, le seafood est bon.
Le buffet: souvent la même chose pas le grand luxe mais ok.

On n'y retournerait pas mais surtout car nous trouvons cancun trop gros, trop américain.

Clean and all the staff are good at what they do. Warm smiles and plesant atmosphere. The added push for theme nights is GREAT, with all the work and preparations that go into it. This makes the time spent at the diffrent events, that much more enjoyable.And to the Event staff who have to stay possitive day in and day out congradulations to you ALL.

Une seule petite déception, la plage. En fait, c'est plutôt l'eau qui est envahie par les algues et il reste très peu d'espace avec la belle eau claire et le fond sableux devant l'hôtel.

Belle ambiance amicale.

My husband and I stayed in Temptation in the beginning of February and have no complaints about this hotel whatsoever. Great atmosphere, good food selection and friendly staff. We were amazed to see so many staff members constantly cleaning and taking care of the grounds. This resort is great for a romantic getaway and can also be a good choice for those wanting to party like it is a spring break for adults. Loved the Italian restaurant (piece of advice: try their specialty "flaming coffee) and "sexy light" in the room.

Very clean hotel and grounds. Hard working, friendly staff. Excellent food. This place is like never ending party! 100% recommended. The only one sour point - web access is $15 a day! C'mon guys, this is 21 century, it's a shame for this class of hotel.

Pour ceux qui veulent faire la fête entre personnes majeures cet endroit est absolument génial!! Des jeunes, des vieux, des couples, des célibataires, tout le monde est bienvenu. Les couples sont majoritaires mais il y a aussi beaucoup de célibataires et disons que l'atmosphère est propice aux rencontres... Pour tout le monde!

Les chambres sont très commode avec une belle déco. Demandez une vue sur la mer, ca en vaut la peine! Les femmes de ménages sont très courtoise et se souviennent de vous si vous êtes généreux. La nourriture est excellente tant au buffet que dans les restos à la carte. Chapeau à l'italien et l'asiatique. La présentation des asssiettes est impécable et le service est excellent. Évitez le vin local par contre, c'est de la piquette!

Pour le côté party, la sexy pool est l'endroit ou tout se passe pendant la journée. Les femmes qui veulent pratiquer le monokini se seront pas déranger ou dévisager. La musique est toujour présente à cette piscine et sur la section de la plage qui y fait face. Si vous voulez de la tranquilité, vous pouvez toujours vous réfugier du côté de la piscine tranquille. Il y a aussi la piscine de sport au centre.

Le soir, il y plusieurs possibilités. La proximité de Cancun vous permet de sortir a tout les soirs si vous voulez mais il y a toujours du monde au Patio Lounge et les soirée ne sont jamais plate! Band live et DJ invités sont au menu.

Bref, une super semaine que je ne suis pas prêt d'oublier!! Allez voir, vous ne serai pas déçus.

My wife and I spent 2 week at Temptation and had a blast. We were looking for a resort that was adults-only so we weren't constantly reminded about our little girls back home. We also wanted to make sure the resort was more of a "party" atmosphere as we don't get out much to the bar scene anymore and were looking forward to letting loose like we did before our lovely girls came into our lives.

When we first started looking into Temptation we were a little hesitant because we didn't want to be labelled as "swingers" to our friends and family. But after reading so many comments about how much fun other Canadians had at this resort, we decided to take the plunge. I can honestly say that we were both blown away at how much fun we had! There are a few things to watch out for, like the timeshare pitch when you first arrive. But if you know it's coming, it's easy enough to dodge. Just know they have no information about the resort that you can't find in an hour or two on your own (i.e. maps that can be found in many places on the wall throughout the resort).

There are many "swingers" at this resort or "lifestyle people" (as we found they prefer to be called)...in the range of 30%, I would guess. We spent a lot of our time with these people and never once felt pressured about anything. They seem to be very open and will simply ask if you're in the lifestyle, and when you say "no" they're still friendly and are willing to hang out and have a great time.

I strongly suggest doing like I did and read as many posts about the resort before you go as possible. There's a ton of great information out there and you'll get an idea about whether this is the right place for you and your other half.

If you're open-minded, not jealous, and looking to party harder than you have in years, book now! If you're looking for a quiet, relaxing, read-your-book type of vaccation, move along.

We can't wait to go back!
