We went to dreams for a weddings, we had an amazing time at the resort, the staff were all very friendly and helpful. As for the resort, the buffet food was ok, and the specialty restaurants were excellent. We have stayed in punta cana before and the beach at dreams was not the greatest, we only went to the beach once since right when you go in the ocean there in coral there and can't go very much farther, but the pool is amazing!!! It goes throughout the resort, so your not all clustered in one area like in other resorts. We had a great time there but for the price we paid it wasn't what we had expected, since we stayed at the Rui Palace Punta Cana and paided the same price for way better food, and nicer rooms.

Overall the resort is nice but is definetly over priced. The preffered club is also not worth the extra money. It appears that almost all the extras it provides are available to all the guests just by asking.
All the staff were very friendly and worked extremely hard to make our trip enjoyable and quickly rectified any issues we had. The resort is a little far from the airport and the rooms are definetly showing signs of age. The pool was fantastic and very much enjoyed buy our young childern. You can easily find a little cove and hide out for the entire day with almost no interuption from other guests.
The food was also excellent in the a la cartes but the buffet got tiring very quickly. (but what buffet doesnt?)

This is a full vacation experience. From the excellent avrrival service being whisked from the main lobby to the Preffered Club check in took 15 minutes, with baggage. The meandoring river pool through the entire resort is magnificant, brillant water. Beaches are clean with sugar white sand, rocks are to the right side but otherwise enjoy and walk for km.The staff are polite and incredibly friendly and attentive. We never waited at any AlaCart restaurant and food was very good. This is our third trip to DR so quality of food was impportant. All kinds of activities each day, good evening shows, different one each night.
Our room 1114 was clean and in a great location, closet to the beach and to the pool and pool bar area. Also the hub of afternoon fun. This resort has something for everyone, families, couples, quiet time on the beach or fun times in the pool. We upgraded to Preferred and recommend it. Just little things but enjoyable. As not the norm from other resorts we have been at (sim price as well) everything worked!!, AC, fridge, ceiling fans, lights etc. We enjoyed our stay and would go back again. Try it!

Rooms were outdated, but clean. Maid service was inconsistant (two days no coffee for the machine in the room, and the fridge was not re stocked).The pool games were childish and not for all members of the family and the staff at the pool bar (Baracuda) were not very friendly, they seemed like they would ignore you for a few minutes before taking your order. Best and most friendly staff were at the World Cafe Returant and the best bar was the lobby bar (rendevouz bar). The grounds were beautiful with lush vegetation and very well kept. Over all the resort was very clean and comfortable. Most of the staff were very friendly and accomodating to your needs.

We had booked an ocean view room which was specified online and paid for at time of booking and did not get it. When I asked the concierge about this, he replied "this Hotel does not have any".

Our room booking was also an up-graded room called Preferred Club which entitled the guests to a private beach and private access to this beach signified by a yellow coloured beach towel. Regular guests had blue towels.
There is no private access anywhere and the private beach was a small cordonned off area in the middle of the populated beach. This "private beach" was always being used by guests with blue towels. Please keep in mind that we paid for this privilege. There was only one small sign that read Preferred Club and was obviously ignored by all. The other sign had been torn out some time ago and never replaced. I recommend to anyone who visits this Resort to book the least expensive room and you"ll be able to use a private beach.

There are not enough beach lounge chairs by half and most are in need of repair. ie. slats missing where you sit, screws protruding out of the wooden ones. People would put their towels on chairs and leave for upto 2 hours or more thinking they could save their spot but this rude gesture only served to frustrate people who were looking to sit and enjoy the beach. This is not Highschool afterall although, a fight did break out between a 30 something male and a grandfather. Grandpa had taken a blue towel off an unused chair and sat with his granddaughter until 30 something and his 5 friends came along screaming at them for having taken their seat.
We won't be going back. Ever.

it was a good trip for the money i expected a bit more. some of the bridges were falling apart. looks like they were fixing them as we left. beach is ok but water is rough.other side of island may be better. had some issues with venders on the property selling their treasures. entertainment was amazing. i would go back just not paying what i did. look for a deal. great family place just not for singles.

Overall this resort is a great spot for a family vacation. Good Food. Staff want you to enjoy your stay. Hotel seems to be having building maintenance challenges. Leaking bathroom ceilings, patio doors do not slide easily, locks on patio doors broken, Mag-locks to rooms were failing to open in many rooms. Charges for internet access high.

I would recommend this hotel to families for its great service, cleanliness, good food and wonderful pool. If you want a quiet room, get ones far from lobby and bars, because of high traffic and noise. This hotel needs to BUY MORE DECK CHAIRS!

I will for sure go back to this hotel and highly recommend it. Upon arrival, we did not like our room that was on the first floor (where the hallways are used by all buildings to go to main facilities) and right away we got upgraded to a pool side room. Service we got is amazing. If you are missing stuff in your room (bathrobe etc), make sure you ask. We had everything we wanted within 20 mins. The pool is by far the best asset to this hotel. We rarely go to pools (prefer the beach) but for this trip, somehow we ended up at the pool more than the beach!! Simply amazing.

This was our first time with the Dreams chain and overall were quite happy with it. I found this particular hotel a little too far from the airport.

We upgraded to the "Preferred Junior Suite" and am so happy we did because this was one of the perks of our entire trip. We made use of the clubhouse with the premium alcohol and free internet in the club as well as free wifi in the room which wasn't great but did the job. There were always beach towels for us in the club. There was an area of the beached roped in for the "preferred" but we didn't even bother using it. There was plenty of chairs on the beach. Going to the beach after breakfast (around 9am) was okay because there were plenty of chairs available. The waitresses on the beach came around quite often - that was great! The weather was perfect - hot with a cool breeze during the day and just right at night with hardly any humidity.

The food was as expected...okay overall. We loved the 24hr room service.

The staff at the resort were very friendly - most knew how to speak english.

The biggest disappointment for us was the beach. This resort did not have the "neverending" beach like the ones in Bavaro where you can walk for miles. The beach area in front of the hotel is all you have because to either side there are no other resorts so the beach there was quite dirty. The water was very choppy and very difficult to swim in - maybe it's just the location of the resort because we spoke with people in resorts south of us i.e Secrets and they said their beach was wonderful and calm.

It was an overall good and relaxing trip.

The resort, food, staff and entertainment made this vacation fantastic! The rooms are a little more dated than they appear in the pictures but were very comfortable. The location of the resort is far from Bavaro beach- so dont come expecting white sand, or clear turquoise waters. Also, there are not many resorts nearby either- it is somewhat isolated. In the future I would go to Dreams Palm Beach for this reason.

We arrived to destress.That is exactly what happened.From check in to check out,was above and beyond.Food was superb and no reservations at the a la cart restaurants was a blessing.Only bad thing was some rocks in the water.Would I go back?In a heartbeat.This was our 10th time to the dominican and by far the best.Superb everything.Cannot say enough about staff and the resort.

Lovely beach, plenty of palapas and lounge chairs, Building 1, newly renovated, closest to beach and pool bar, very clean, renovating building 4 during our week. Italian & Japanese food were ok, World Cafe was best for more selection.

Had a great time, some rain but enjoyed very much. The first night we we're not in the preferred club as booked and confirmed by you. We want a credit for this!!!

When we first arrived to the hotel, we were supposed to have 2 rooms with double beds, we were met with problems on check in, the person checking us in became rude when we told him this. Saying that we only pay for 2 rooms and they decide weather we get double beds or not, when i was about to call my booking agent he then said that yes we will be able to get me another room with double bed, but the rooms was not together (he was more concern on selling me the upgrade). When entering the room, there was a smell of dampness and the view was not good. When taking my shower the fist time the bathroom was flooded from a leek in the pipe. I then went to ask for the manager and was pointed to the concierge a person by the name of Harold. I explained to him what happen and he walked over to the room with me, we then went across the hall to another room. The room there was better, until the third day, ROOM 7127 had a leak from the roof by the door, and leaked into the closed where i had a white dinner jacket, where a few drips of dirty water got into it. At the same time someone cleaning the rooms was outside my door and called someone that fixed the issue. This was a very frustrating
experience.

Nous avons adoré cette hôtel, le service super, la chambre un peu petite pour un 5* mais très bien. La nourriture,pour nous c'était la meilleur, il faut dire que nous sommes des habitués de Cuba et des 4* en république.La plage très belle, sauf l'eau c'est loin de Cuba un peu brouillée, et beaucoup de roches qu'on ne voit pas toujours , mais il y a de beaux endroist pour se baigner et j'ai ADORÉ la tranquilité PAS de vendeurs sur la plage WOW!.Mon seul reproche est la musique toujours présente patout même à plusieurs endroits sur la plage, si durant la journée(avant 4h) il y aurait eue une musique douce à la piscine ou tout au moins à certain endroits,car la piscine est immense ,et en passant MAGNIFIQUE, nous aurions appréciez, ce n'est pas tout le monde qui veut être sur le party en vacance, il y a des gens comme nous qui recherche la tranquilité pour relaxer.Et pour un 5* il y aurait pu y avoir un endroit avec acces internet gratuit.Mais dans l'ensemble ce fut nos plus belle vacances.

Un hotel propre,agréable et très américanisé (que de la musique américaine dans les hauts parleurs).
Personnel très accueillant et courtois!
Nous avons adoré les restaurants près de la plage. Nourriture et variété excellente. Nous avons bcp apprécié le fait de ne pas avoir à réserver pour aller souper.
On doit se baigner dans la limite des cordes si on ne veut pas avoir de roches.
Nous étions en basse saison, nous avons eu un excellent prix vs la qualité de l'hotel.
Ce fut un excellent séjour! A recommander!

Nous sommes de retour de 2 semaines de vacances à cet hôtel. Cet hôtel a probablement déjà été un 5 étoiles mais nous dirions qu'aujourd'hui, il s'agit plus d'un 4 et demi. Il s'agissait de notre 2è expérience dans un hôtel de la chaîne Dreams et nous serions prêts à renouveller l'expérience ailleurs.

Voici donc les points positifs: aucune réservation pour les restaurants (très agréable de ne pas avoir d'obligations d'horaire), pas de bracelets, propreté, service de chambre 2 fois par jour, la plage, les jardins magnifiques, les spectacles en soirée.

Et voici les points un peu moins agréables: service inégal dans les restaurants à la carte (nous avons reçu un soir notre entrée après notre plat principal et quelques jours plus tard, le service était parfait au même restaurant, il faut généralement demander du vin à nouveau, ils ne remplissent pas les verres après le premier service), à 3 reprises, nous avons eu une coupure d'eau chaude pour les douches et ce, un peu avant l'heure du souper, un peu moche quand on veut se préparer, il y avait de la construction dans le building immédiatement à côté du nôtre(mais nous n'avons jamais été informé avant notre arrivée que tel était le cas).

À notre arrivée, on nous avait donné une chambre avec 2 lits doubles (nous sommes un jeune couple sans enfants...), nous avons demandé de changer de chambre, ce qui a été fait dans les minutes suivantes et sans aucun problème. La nouvelle chambre était très bien et était rénovée. Attention toutefois, assurez-vous d'avoir une chambre rénovée lors de votre séjour car nous avons vu les vieilles chambres et nous aurions été furieux si nous avions eu une de ses chambres!!!

Aussi, la clientèle influence la qualité de notre voyage. La première semaine, les gens étaient gentils, respectueux et tranquilles même les familles avec des enfants. Lors de notre 2è semaine, ça s'est gâché. Les gens étaient bruyants, irrespectueux, dérangeants. Lors de nos 4 derniers jours, nous nous sommes fait réveillés à toutes heures de la nuit par des gens qui criaient dans notre building ou qui voulaient défoncer la porte de leur chambre par des coups... un peu ordinaire!!! Mais nous savons que l'hôtel n'y est pour rien.

Bref, nous avons passé de belles vacances. Nous aimerions retourner à cet hôtel un jour lorsque nous aurons des enfants car il est très bien adapté pour les familles. Pour le prix payé (1500$ par personne pour 2 semaines), nous considérons que le rapport qualité/prix était excellent.

One problem after another. Paid for premium room but received a non-premium room - couldn't change. Swim up was really a walk up and then swim (not like ads). Room was right against the supply room so you can hear glasses and plates clanging and loud employees at 7AM everyday! Lots of ants in the room. Bar fridge didn't cool anything down. Safe took up to 10 tries each time to close. Ceiling fan stopped working. Card lock on door didn't work. "Small section" of pool was supposed to be closed but in reality 1/2 the pool was closed (including swim-up bar) for 1/2 the trip. Extreme pressure from "VIP" team who are really trying to sell timeshares or something. Not all restaurants are open on the same day increasing wait times. Waited 2 hours at one restaurant and only got appetizers - left before main course. Beach was too rough and couldn't really swim. Rocks in water. Paid for professional pictures with resort and got a copy on CD - came home and CD didn't work. Called several times to get pictures emailed to us and still don't have it (2 weeks now). On the positive side, the staff was extremely friendly - especially buffet, restaurant and bar staff. Great shows. Big pool. Great food. Lots of activities for children. Exotic birds/animals. Well maintained property.

apres 2 jours ,nous avons demande a etre transferes a l'hotel dreams palm beach,raisons: plage remplie d'algues,ramasses a la brouette,incroyable,et le lundi matin ,ils ont ferme 60% de la piscine et l'aqua bar pour une semaine,les chambres tres peu insonorisees,mais heureusement,au dreams palm beach tout etait super,tres beau voyage,mon evaluation est pour le palm beach

Hotel is very accomadating, the only real downside is that the ocean is rocky at theron spot a bit. We went with 7 friends but most everyone was a couple or honeymooners. Entertainment will dance and party at the disco though if u like dancing!

This trip was the best trip I have taken so far.

The swim out was well worth the money.

I was not happy with the time share people hasselling us. We we given 200.00 coupons for the resort and the only way to get them was to go to a 90 minute time share. If I wanted to check out a timeshare I would but I went on vacation and do not think they should be in the hotel bugging the guests. I would definitely go back to this same resort.

THE ROOMS ARE VERY OLD AND SMELLS. WHEN I TALKED TO THE FRONT DESK I WAS TOLD THAT WHAT I PAID FOR. IT CAN NOT BE A FIVE STAR BY ALL MEANS. WE GOT FOOD POISING IN THE LAST DAY

we were in Dreams between June 16th to June 23rd.
We can't say it's really good experience there. Hotel is really in poor maintenance. Air conditioning was dead in all public places at first three days, Hot!Hot!Hot!
Buffet just so so(ha,you don't have other choice, only one), not fresh, all cheese melted and juice drink with bad smell. The worse thing is all tables were not clean enough, dirts & dents everywhere, and the birds flying all around in that closed room, they stayed beside watching you and leaving behind. Some formal dinner places are pretty good, but you can't make a reservation, if you don't go very early or late, you have to wait long time for their paging you.
We experienced three times room access difficulities due to the issue of electronic lock. As spending more than hour to get them fix the problem each time, it's really ridiculous.
Beach sand is good, unfortunately you almost can't swim in the sea with rocks everywhere.
They have a pretty good children care club for kids over 3. Parents could have some free private time during the day. It's so bad that my son has two months to 3 years old......

Dreams Punta Cana is a great hotel. The rooms were clean, food excellent with 7 resturants to choose from and staff though don't speak much english were very helpful and friendly. Every night they had different entertainment and each one was better than the next. They have a resident male Peacock and 2 female Peacock and flamingos which add to the resort.

HOTEL GROUNDS WERE BEAUTIFUL, BEACH WAS AMAZING, FOOD WAS DISSAPPOINTING ESPECIALLY TRAVELING TO A 4.5 STAR, AND VERY DISSAPOINTED THERE WAS NO PREMIUM BEER SERVED AT BARS. THERES NOTHING LIKE
ENJOYING A HEINEKEN OR CORONA ON A GORGIOUS BEACH LIKE THE ONE HERE AT DREAMS. SPECIALTY DRINKS WERE MADE VERY WELL AT ALL BARS. VERY FRUSTRATED THAT MY SANDALS WERE STOLLEN THE SECOND DAY RIGHT FROM OUR PATIO. I WAS FORCED TO BUY OUTRAGIOUSLY PRICED FLIP FLOPS FROM THE GIFT SHOP SEEING HOW THOSE WERE THE ONLY SANDALS I ARRIVED WITH. BREAKFAST AND THE BEACH BBQ WERE THE MOST TO LOOK FORWARD TO FOR FOOD. WE ATE AT ALL THE RESTAURANTS OVER THE WEEK FOR DINNER AND WASN'T IMPRESSED AT ALL. THE ONLY DECENT RESTAURANTS WERE THE PORTOFINO AND THE JAPANESE. I HAD A BAD FOOD EXPERIENCE AT THE STEAK HOUSE WHICH MADE ME SICK ALL NIGHT THE THIRD NIGHT AND THE NEXT MORNING. WE TRAVELLED HERE FOR OUR HONEYMOON, SO THE TRIP WAS DEFFINATELY NOT A DREAM COME TRUE!!!

This atlantic side resort is well suited for families with many amenities to keep you busy or just to relax. The service staff are beyond excellent!
