The staff at this resort constantly go above and beyond. The food was above average for Cuban resorts. We will be going back again many times in the future to see our new found friends.

We had a wonderful time at this hotel.The staff were supperb,helpful and friendly in every way.The rooms were clean and very well maintained. The beach was very clean and well maintained.There was lots of activities for the children and grown ups such as child daycare activities and volley ball games,shooting,archery and darts. Whenever we go back to Cuba we will certainly go back to this hotel as the food was awesome also.

Staff was nice however rooms are in rough shape. Had to ask for a different room as first room was very musty and had black spots (mold I assume) in different places around walls. Set up is quite nice and the animation team does a nice job. The food and drinks were not of as good of quality as the other resorts we have stayed at in Varadero.
Beach was nice.

We had been to Cuba before, so knew what to expect in terms of product availability and quality, food, decor, etc. The Tainos does quite well with what it has available. Grounds, pool and beach are kept immaculately clean. Great efforts with the food, drinks and activities.

Our first trip to Cuba and is was quite enjoyable. Bad experience at the beginning-no one to show us where our room was. But pool and beach were amazing, and most staff very friendly.

Had a great time, resort was fine. Did not expect 4 plus star (as in Mexico) for food or facilities, so we were not disappointed. Food was fine not as varied or as much selection as in Mexico but better than home and they do the dishes! Hotel needed minor maintenance here and there, not a problem for us. Found staff friendly and service good. Beach was great. Went for the experience of Cuba was not disappointed and would return to this resort.

The staff were unbelievably helpful and friendly. The food was great despite all the negative press. The beach was breath-taking. I would've loved a few more days.

PROS: Friendly and helpful reception staff, quiet hotel, nice beach, lots of beach chairs, probably the best massage therapist onsite (Noel).
CONS: Average and limited choice of food (especially fresh fruit), rooms OK as per Cuban standards, bathroom needs a refresher, far from downtown Varadero.

Tainos has a good vibe, good food, a gorgeous beach, and decent accommodations. We met some great people and met great staff, but in general found the atmosphere to be little too laid back for us. That said, this place is great for families (in terms of facilities and staff) and for the older crowd.

All was great but if you have a weak stomach Cuba is the wrong place for you. For some reason almost none of the toilets in Cuba have toilets seats, few have toilet paper, few have soap and rarely will you find a means to dry your hands. This hotel was one of the best yet our suite stunk like a stinky bathroom all day and night long. The realization of the uncleanliness everywhere makes you feel very queezy when it comes time to eat as obviously the people cooking the food are having the same issues trying to go to the bathroom. I'm not a complainer (ever) however if I was to go to Cuba again I would bring with me some sort of temporary (perhaps inflatable) toilet seats, lots of hand sanitizer, perhaps a can of Lysol to disinffect my room (door knobs,etc)then I might feel better over all. Bringing toilet paper is a MUST! The staff here are (mostly)very loving and helpful - they work very hard at being your friend. If you choose this resort it is one of the better ones for sure..... but you've been warned about the whole Cuba thing in general. Cheers!

We just returned from an awesome vacation at Iberostar Tainos. We were excited about the beautiful grounds, buffet, restaurants and bars. It is a smaller resort, but the customer service was the best we've seen in Cuba. Every little detail was taken care of and the people treat you to the best there. The entertainment was 100% better than the other 2 resorts I've been to. There were the authentic Cuban bands and "Star Friends" that played games, volleyball, interacted and taught dance lessons to keep you busy. The most impressive thing that impressed me and I'm not a hotel "show" type was the professional dance troop/singing shows at nite. They were excellent! Iberostar definitely went up and above for those shows. We spent a great deal of time at the beach - there were plenty of shady umbrellas to lay back and relax after a great dip in the ocean. It was awesome. The pool was just as great with plenty of loungers for everyone. The bars were well equipped and provided a variety of cocktails, my favourite being the rum cocktails. If you go there, you'll remember the a la carte restaurants, entertainment, nice people you meet, friendly staff and Elvis. You'll definitely figure out who he is by the end of your trip. Will we return to Iberostar Tainos? Definitely!

Resort very clean. Food very good. Drinks excellent. Room very basic with fridge and TV. Personnel was friendly and very helpful. Beach chairs are always available with lots of huts and a beach bar. Sand is very fine and smooth on the feet. You can walk out far in the ocean. Water was clear and beautiful. We would definately go back to this resort.

We found the Iberostar Tainos to be above our expectations after reading a few negative reviews. My husband and I as well as another couple travelling with us were completely impressed with our choice of holiday. Yes the hotel is little dated and the cooks do not always have an abundant choice of ingredients to cook with, but with that said the food tasted fabulous absolutely everyday and the staff were just amazing in all departments - reception, animation, food service, beverage service, housekeeping.....

Amazing holiday!! Every staff member at the Iberostar Taino make this resort a 10!!!! I can't say enough about the excellent service and the fun, personable and hardworking people at this resort. We had perfect weather every day, a well-kept bungalow near the beach, amazing talent/costumes at the shows and lots of food selection. We always found something we liked to eat. We realize its Cuba and many items are not available. Its an older resort but was constantly being upgraded with new pool chairs, beds and immediately fixed anything that we noticed not working efficiently. I loved stepping outside my spacious bungalow everyday to trees and birds and no elevators or hallways. Best holiday I've ever had! I would return to this resort in a heart beat. Giselle, Sandi, Carlos,Daylin, Julio, Esnavi - keep up the good work you made me laugh very day !!!

buffet répétitif mais bon ,le café mauvais boire tisane à la place , les chaises de la plage dû à être changées.un serveur du lobby pas souriant.

The resort is relatively small, the rooms are big (we stayed in bungalow), clean and well maintained.Food is quite good for Cuba, a lot seafood every day. Nice beach. Overall- good choice when you consider the price.

Tres grand hotel, proprete impeccable. Le mange laisse un gout tres amer a l'experience. Manque d'activite pour adulte en soiree. Tres recommande pour les familles. Il y avait beacoup d'enfants.

après 3 voyage a varadéro le Iberostar tainos est mon préféré en gros a cause du personel qui est super sympatique ! et le site n'est pas trop gros . les chambres ne sont pas récentes mais très propre. le restaurant a la carte japonais est excellent je n'ai pas été au cubain. Le buffet Isabella est très bien nourriture différente a chaque soir ou presque ! l'équipe d'animation est très dynamique! les starfriend sont incroyable !!!la plage est a couper le souffle !!!
Je compare cet hotel avec le sirenis la salina et le arena doradas ...

We enjoyed our 1st time at the Tainos. Food was very good, rooms clean and adequate. Well kept grounds etc. I was disappointed in one thing. I booked this trip last Sept. and had my travel agent request strongly a bungalow close to the beach. I emailed and corresponded with Giselle a few times prior to our trip reconfirming this request. It meant nothing. When bus arrived at hotel, the people ahead of me in the line were simply able to snap up the bungalows. When we got there, we were told we would have to wait until the next day for a bungalow - I was very disappointed after doing so much ahead. Also, would be nice if they cleaned the brush at the back of the beach and made more beach room - had to have a towel there by 8;00am to get a thatch. They could put a lot more at the back or even some palm trees - we really like the palm trees at the back of the beach MUCH better than thatches - this place didn't have hardly any of them. It could be done.

Avons trés apprécié note séjour au Tainos autant pour l'hotel (bungallow) que le personelle et la plage. La bouffe est bonne, les chambres trés agréable, le personelle souriant et attentionné, la plage merveilleuse. Bien sur le personelle apprécie les pourboires tout comme chez nous c'est avant tout un moyen de gagner leur vie.
Je recommande sans hésitation cet hotel à ceux qui peuvent comprendre que c'est un pays ou les coutumes et ou les choses se font différemnet de chez nous. Les prima madona priére de s'abstenir.
