we arrived late in the evening, and were given our assigned room, which had a very strong odour (like a musty urinal) - we lasted the night, and were given a new room upon request in the morning, no problems, no charge. Otherwise a fantastic family vacation, great resort! Excursions are great, we did the Catamaran, Jeep Safari and Havana tours, just wonderful and a great representation of the island. Cubans are so friendly and welcoming. The food was great. Lobby bar a great hangout for all ages. Would definitely recommend this hotel.

Good trip.... Beach is great and so is the staff. restaurants and food/drinks great. Hotel is clean and staff do everything they can to keep it that way. Unfortunatly we all have to deal with the idiots that think that because they are on vacation, they get to act like pigs and dump thier garbade and empty cups where they are. Most of these people where university students, who should be made to take a basic etiquette class, and an engish class that does not focus on vulgarity. The hotel is in seriouse need of an update. Watch out for railings that are falling apart. Cut hand pretty bad. A coat of paint would go a long way and replacing brocken tiles... tiles on outside stairs should be slip proff. Would return when students are in school. Would hope basic safety repairs would be done. Would also like to see entertainment staff in matching uniforms...staff should be obviouse.

We had a terrific time at Bella Costa! Yes the hotel itself could use an update, but it was clean and they we're doing alot of repainting and fixing while we were there. The balconies are huge as well are the rooms. The staff overall we're friendly enough but there were a few that were not so much. I wouldn't say they were rude but very nice either.
The food was good as well. We only did 1 a'lacarte (Cuban) and it was very good. The rest of our meals were at the main buffet or the beach one. The pizza at the beach buffet for lunch was our favorite and pasta at the main one for dinner. There was lots of variety and the fresh bread was amazing.
The beach was just beautiful!!!
Overall we would recommend this resort.

We were very pleased with the resort. The food was better than expected, the rooms were clean, the staff was friendly and the beaches were gorgeous! We had a great time!

We really enjoyed the Breezes Bella Costa....Great time had by my family....Good thing about this hotel is that their prices are good for children....most hotels when child is 13 yrs, pay price of adult...here it is 13-17 child rate( good for us)...hotel needs updating...if they update, more people will come here....should have and indoor evening entertainment....its outdoors, if it rains, then nobody will come out....Overall, we will be returning to Breezes Bella Costa next year......

I travelled with my 13 year old daughter. We both love this hotel. The beaches, food, and staff were all amazing. The hotel is starting to look a little dated, but we had a great vacation once again. I would recommend this hotel to friends and family.

Good experience. Older hotel but clean and decent food in quality and variety. Activities in day and night. Great beach. Staff were friendly and helpful. The disco is quiet and only runs from 11-1am.

the good parts of this resort like most of the others are..beach/staff/desserts and most of the hotel.the bad parts are the rooms witch could use some upgrading,but they are ok by me.i don't go to beach resort to sit in the room.for those thinking of going on the excursions you will be told to hurry up stay together and give me tips...jeep safari lol more like come see where we put all are garbage

We really enjoyed staying in the Villa at Breezes Bella Costa and actually booked with Nolitours so that we could stay there. The workers were wonderful, the food was great and the beach was amazing

Overall, we were disappointed with the resort. It was the second time at Bella Costa and we will not be returning. Generally, the resort is ok, but the room was noisy and bathroom was small and missed a shower curain for a day.

Le Breezes Bella Costa est très bien situé, directement sur la plage. Le site n'est pas trop grand alors il est facile de se déplacer des chambres à tous les lieux rapidement.

À proximité du centre de Varadero, il est facile de s'y rendre en taxi, en "mini taxi" genre scooter toujours conduit par des femmes, en autobus 2 étages (5$ par personne pour toute la journée). On peut aussi louer des scooters ou des voitures.

Le bâtiment : assez vieux mais bien entretenu et toujours très propre.
Les chambres sont correct, pas très grandes. La majorité des chambres sont avec balcon et vue sur l'eau. Coffre de sureté assez grand pour un iPad, pour ceux qui en amène un.

La plage est vaste et très belle avec beaucoup de chaises longues. Possibilité de faire du catamaran, canot, surf, gratuitement. Volley ball aussi disponible.

La piscine est très belle et sécuritaire pour tous. Beaucoup de palmiers et de verdure. Quelques petites activités sont organisés. Il y a une petite pataugeuse pour les enfants. Le kids club est petit et sans animation. Mais bon, il y a assez de choses à faire pour compenser.

La nourriture : Le restaurant Italien a été mon préféré. Le buffet est très varié, il y a des choix pour tous les goûts et un thème différent tous les soirs en gardant toujours la base (pâtes, burger, pizza, salades). La nourriture est manipulée avec soins pour éviter la contamination, les employés se lavent les mains souvent. Le resto sur la plage offre des pizzas sur mesure et il y a aussi un BBQ le midi.

Le personnel : à mon avis, offre un service un peu inégal. On a eu un problème avec la chambre au début (air climatisé très bruyant), José à la réception à été très poli et nous avons eu une nouvelle chambre rapidement. Il s'est informé dans les jours suivants pour s'assurer que nous étions correct. Au buffet aussi les employés étaient très gentils.
Pour le ménage des chambres, encore là, inégal. Certaines femmes de chambre laissent des fleurs et des petites finesses qui font plaisir et d'autres font le strict nécessaire (pourboire ou non).

Aux bars, en général, la moitié des employés ne souriaient pas et on avait l'impression de les déranger (pourboire ou non). Quand on retournait, on essayait de toujours être servi par la même personne qui semblait être heureuse et souriante.

Service internet disponible ($) mais très lent, comme partout à Cuba. Avec un cocktail en main, c'est pas grave.

En général, une belle expérience.

Excellent location , beach and most of staff very friendly ( ONCE YOU PASS FRONT DESK!!) , decent food and activities , very aged hotel rooms , facilities. Great opportunity for a 4* resort but it's merely 2-2.5* hotel.
Clean your own table at restaurant , find your own fork and knife , and dont forget your own toilet paper to public restroom in the resort !
Front desk rude and ignorant , other then inside the room very dirty and rundown facilities.

this hotel is run down and needs to be updated,fresh paint would go a long way.the food should not be rated 4*.This is not my first trip to cuba,i have been 7 times and this is the worst 4*hotel i have stayed in.

Friendly staff. The furniture is too old. Food is not too bad. Baby friendly. The sound insulation is so bad the next door couple ML every night at 2AM woke us up which upset us a lot.

Poor bar service for those who don't tip. Cocktails watered down with too much sugar. Rooms are very run down, unclean and a dangerous health and safety hazard. Room odour covered up by maids with strong nauseating air freshener. Cooked food is below average both in quality, taste (too salty), not fresh, unclean practices (raw meat utensil touches food when serving)and no freshly cooked vegetable variety. Buffet too busy, many children touching buffet food and licking. Cooks tired and over-worked, long unacceptable line-ups for the pasta bar & pork roast. Italian a-la-carte restaurant food is not authentic. Rooms facing garden too noisy due to night-long highway traffic. Beach was littered with sharp shells and other debris. Beach chairs were very run down and uncomfortable, not enough to go around. The only acceptable thing at this resort was the nightly entertainment and the generally pleasant staff. Will definitely not return to this resort.

We loved this resort and would certainly go back. The staff was friendly, efficient and helpful. The resort was very clean including common washroom areas. Our bed was quite comfortable, the view was spectacular. The food was excellent for what you might expect in Cuba. Part of beach was a bit narrow and crowded but there were other beach areas that were not so crowded. Lots of shade and chairs. We had an excellent vacation and would certainly return to Breezes Bella Costa.

The staff caters to you. They love Canadians. They speak english fluently and french as well. I had the best time there and made lots of friends. The staff keeps you informed of daily activities and will answer all your questions. They are extremely friendly.

First impression of the room was awful, smelled like pee however they all kind of had a smell but we opened the doors and later used the AC and the smell was gone. Beds comfy, service great, Food was great, beach and water were terrific!

I stayed with my husband, and 2 children during March break, and we had an excellent time at the Breezes Bella Costa. The hotel is very clean, the food was great, and the Bella Costa is on one of the best stretches of beach in Varadero. (I've been to 4 other resorts on Varadero Beach) I would definitely go back to this resort.

The hotel is run down and dated. However, the food was pretty good (for cuba) and the staff wonderful. We had two kids with us - age 7 and 4. There was lots for them to do and we all had a great time. The beach is fabulous. Good location in Varadero.

Great time had by us and our kids (12 & 16). Hotel could use some upgrades however didn't effect our week! Food was ok.

L'hôtel Bella Costa est un hôtel idéal pour les familles. La plage est très belle et les services très bien. La nourriture est bonne et les chambres sont adéquates. L'hôtel en général est propre, méme si les tapis de certains couloirs laissent sérieusement à désirer.

When we first arrived, it was late at night...we did not love our first room, but thought it may be brighter in the am. The bathroom walls were pretty gross (def not wiped) and there was smears of who knows what on the patio doors. Morning came and we went down to see if we could switch rooms. They moved us to a room on the third floor...it was much brighter and the bathroom was definitely cleaner. Our agency rep at the hotel really listened to our concerns about the hotel and told us that she goes around to all of the hotels in that area to aid other clients and the Bella Costa was the hotel with the fewest complaints...this even over some of the new resorts...she was VERY clear...new does not necessarily mean better. By the second day, we had settled in and ended up LOVING our trip! The food wasn't perfect, but for Cuba it was actually pretty good. We always found something good at every meal. The beach was amazing! There was a lot of families (with young children) at this resort, so keep that in mind if you want a child free environment. That being said, we kind of enjoyed all of the little ones as we left our two at home. :) The only negative I would say is that the disco could be a little loud after 11 if you are trying to sleep...the bass pounding was a little crazy! Oh and one little tip...DO bring your own insulated mugs or cups for drinks and all of the bars will fill them for you. This is a tip that others had given previously and we forgot...the cups at the bars are teeny tiny...you walk down to the beach and your drink is already gone!

Has a great time. Went only for four days and wanted to rest. We were a family of two adults and a two and a half year old. The Food for Cuban standards was good. We never went hungry and even my picky toddler ate well. The beach was obsolutely beautiful. Plenty of activities, drinks, food and beach time. The staff are very friendly, but you pretty much have to tip for everything to get good service. This was our second trip to Cuba. Would definetely go back!!!
