Everything very good. Change for US$20 was like pulling Hen's teeth from Resort and Resort's Store.

Tres tres bien pour un 3,1/2 étoiles

Un bel endroit a dix minutes de l'aeroport et 5minute de sosua village et sosua beach. Chambre propre, personnel gentil mais insuffisant au buffet. Nourriture ordinaire. Belle plage et quantite de chaise suffisante.

Considering the price, both of us were pleasantly surprised at the service, food and cleanliness of this resort. Our room location was ideal, and yes, the bathrooms are outdated, but still kept quite clean. No issues with housekeeping or supplies. Food at the buffet was standard, but always found something especially good. Grounds are well tended, and although pool was showing some wear and tear (paint scraped off bottom and at entrances)it was cleaned regularly. Would definitely return here.

As Expected, been there now three times. Food is good, staff is amazing, but location of the hotel is what bring me back, so greatly located

hotel is fair the staf is very pore most have dame don't tack englais .Prablem whit the local don't hask for the police thay will blame you and try to quet money off you . The police are coronpu.IN SOSUA...............

Super qualité prix. Très beau site. Personnel sympathique. Bonjour aux animateurs Vlady et Kenito très diversifiants. Ils sont vraiment super gentils. Site et chambre très propre. Bouffe de qualité quand même et comment résister aux desserts hummmmmmmm. À une prochaine Casa Marina Beach et reef.

We were first kind of impressed and scared by the size of that resort (we like interaction and don't appreciate when too many people), but it finally appeared that employees were very friendly and helpful. The food was varied and very good, and the resort very clean, even if the clients here are not respectful of the environment, thanks to the great employees. Swimming pools and beaches are clean and adapted to family time. We also loved to be inside the city and to be able to discover the culture here. It was great to be able to walk to the public beach whenever we wanted.

J,ai trouvé trop de bruit ,pendant la journée à cause de la piscine, et pendant la soirée à cause de la dicotheque ( 11H30 pm).J'ai été la-bas pour me relaxer ,,,,mais ...ce n'était pas la bonne place.

Belle Plage, site plutot pour les jeunes.
On avait une chanbre superieur vue sur mer, il n;avait rien de superieure avec cet chambre, pas de frigidaire pour garder l'eau froide. Doit payer pour le coffre fort, lit etais confortable, c'est la seule chose qui avait de bien avec cet chambre.
Ce site ne vaux pas un retour c'est médiocre comme site.
Les marchant sont sur le site et sont très achalant.. Je ne retournerai jamais a Puerto Plata ( Sosua)
Le staff est très froid pas trop accueillant, sauf pour la femme de ménage Carmen très gentille.
Extrêmement déçu de mon voyage.

climatisation incontrôlable. Manque d'eau chaude. Buffet varié et de bonne qualité. Restaurants à la carte à éviter. Site agréable et bien situé.

tres bien bon service

Tout était très bien pour un 3*. La seule chose négative était les vagues. Mon neveu s'est disloqué le genou à seulement un pied d'eau.Une très bonne disloquation. Cette même journée au moins 5 personnes se sont blessés dû aux vagues. Il faudrait pensé à détruire les 2 gros rochers situé de chaque côté de cette très petite plage. À cause d'elles, la vague n'arrive pas à s'évader et c'est ce qui fait que les vagues arrivent très fortes à si peu d'eau... Lors de notre retour de l'hôpital mon neveu à dû se supporter sur sa jambe et cela lui était interdit. Il n'y avait pas de chaise roulante pour nous dépanner à cet hôtel. C'est vraiment le seul inconvéniant que nous avons trouvé à cet endroit. Très bien pour un 3*! Le personnel était vraiment bien!

the hotel needs a lot of upgrading

While the hotel was only a 3 star, it was quite acceptable. Would have liked a fridge in the room and water refilled daily but we just bought jugs of water at the store in the hotel. They also did have areas you could fill up the small bottles they gave you.

When we first arrived, we did not get the room type we had booked but the next day, they switched us to a new room.

Lights on the balcony did not work (I prefer to read on the balcony) but other than that, all seemed to be in working condition.

I would definitely go back.

The front desk staff were very confrontational, hard to deal with, they were not forthcoming with pertinant info, not flexible or accomodating. You had to push really hard to get any satisfaction for your concerns. Overall this resonated with employees on the resort to a degree.

for a last minute/price was right trip everything was good overall. the hotel and grounds were kept clean. the food was TERRIBLE! Believe the reviews...i thought was just picky people complaining until i went to dinner there..not much to do but if you just going for sun and beach or pool is a good deal for the price. Sosua is a small town and safe to walk in the day...handy grocery store 5min walk from hotel. if u take a tour barter the price, we went to paradise island and booked with a venor on the beach not sunwing....sunwing rep tries to scare u and upsell his tours

The trip was alright. Was definitely nice to be in the sun on a beach and not in the snow of Ottawa. The resort was OK. I wouldn't return. For a last second deal it did the trick but wouldn't recommend or return. One huge positive though was the staff who were so friendly and polite and always willing to help you out.

En général correct, qualité/prix pas de plainte car nous avons payé 1390$ pour 2 semaines. Juste pour vous faire part qu'il n'y a pas de séchoir ni frigo dans les chambres et tres peu de rangement, pas de tiroir, pour le reste les chambres sont assez vieilles mais confortables, les matelas sont tres acceptables. Il parrait que les chambres sont plus neuves coté REEF. Elles sont propres mais souvent le ménage de la chambre était fait beucoup trop tard dans la journée, soit 4:30 hrs et pas de serviette pour la douche avant 5:00hrs, pour ce qui est du coffre-fort vous devrez payer 15$US par semaine. Le buffet était correct, les restos a la carte, nous avons essayé seulement Italien (moyen)et Fruits de mer (Bon). Pour ce qui du service c'est médiocre pour les bars car souvent il n'y a souvent qu'un seule serveur pour le bar au complet, donc il devient vite blazé. Beau site en général, végétation mature et bien entretenue, le site es propre et nettoyer tous les matins. La plage elle n'est pas terrible, sur 14 jours nous avons eu 1 drapeau vert, 1 jaune et 12 rouges, donc énormément de vagues et le sable est brulant a partir de 11:00hrs le matin donc nous avons préféré les piscines qui sont tres bien. L'animation est ordinaire et tres répétitive, parfois sur le site vous avez cote a cote 3 musiques différente ce qui vous mets completement fou. Il n'y a pas de point de rassemblement en fin de journée comme exemple un bar piscine ou les gens ce rassemble sur la fin de l'apres-midi pour prendre un verre avant le souper. Ca manque d'ambiance, il n'y a aucunes chaises autour des bars. C'est donc difficile de créer des liens avec les gens de la place et les autres touristes.

We were extremely impressed with the overall value we received for our money. The rooms are not 5 star, and not advertised at that either but the beds were amazingly comfortable. The hotel grounds are immaculately kept and the beaches and reef add so much character. The food is very appretizing and plentiful. If you go hungry at this resort, you are the only one to blame. I would not hesitate to return.

A moins de $900.00 OK. Salle de bain défraîchie mais fonctionnel, buffet pas assez varié pour plus d'une semaine, pas de frigo dans la chambre, coffre sécurité $15.00,location parasol $3.00 par jours. Vagues très fortes drapeau rouges 5/7 jours. Nous étions 4 pers.et malgré tous les petits accoté avons passé une semaine extraordinaire. Heureux d'y être allé mais pas plus d'une semaine.

An excellent holiday with beautiful weather. The resort was pretty much as expected, clean and safe but dated. What else do you want for $900? The food was adequate and neither of us had any GI track problems (thats a first in 20 years of holidaying!!) We would go back to the area. Recommend horse back riding at Rancho Lobo Gris. Amazing adventure with zip lining included. You have to call them yourself 829-923-7054.

We read a few negative reviews of this place but they all proved to be untrue. We found the food to be good, the staff to be very friendly, the air conditioning was very cold, the weather was perfect (Feb 19-26), the room was very clean and nice, the shows were entertaining, beaches were awesome. An overall excellent vacation and definitely above our expectations! The cool jacuzzis overlooking the ocean are superb and so refreshing! One tip - go across the street to the left of the soccer field for much cheaper Internet (Money Exchange place) if you don't require WiFi. Get out and see the town, its safe and right outside the resort. The resort has lots of rooms, but is not extremely spread out so it is also good for seniors as not a lot of walking is required. No elevators so you may want to request a first floor room if you have mobility issues. Fine for singles too if you are willing to mingle and make friends!

UN site merveilleux...ça commence bien...mais malheureusement ça se gâte. Pas d'air climatisé pendant 8 jours..À 31-32 la température monte rapidement dans la chambre.Une chance que j'étais au / ième étage, j'ai dormi la porte patio grande ouverte et même 2 nuits à dormir sur le balcon. " semaines pas une goutte d'eau chaude...c'est long...et on m'a dit que j,en demandait trop. Il fait dire que le représentant Sunwing Elisier a bien essayé mais sans résultat. Après discussion je n'étais pas la seule dans ce cas...mais pour d'autres tout a été parfait alors...c'est dommage car cet hotel pourrait devenir un 4.5ou 5 étoiles.Et comme j'ai payé tout près de 2000$ pour 2 semaines je considère n'en avoir pas eu du tout pour mon argent...et c'était mon 44 ième voyages.

Very nice hotel for the money we paid. The food at the buffet was pretty good for a buffet at an all inclusive. However, the food and service at the specialty restaurants "a la carte" was not very good. The food was nothing special or much different from that in the buffet and they run out of desserts. The red wine we had was very acid (old) and when we asked to change it they said it was all the same wine. So we got white wine and even though it wasnt as acid as the red one, it had some acid as well letting us know it was not fresh either.
The grounds of the hotel were really nice and well taken care of. Same thing with the rooms and buildings all around.I loved the fact that they provide a water filter for guests. Just wished they had one or two more around the grounds.

This hotel is rated as a 3.5 Star. Although overall cleaniness was maintained, staff were consistantly courteous. We found the facility lacking in amenities which we have found to be standard in 25 years of travel. The only good thing about the food was the deserts. The fruit was so overripe it was mushy and the tomatoes were on the verge of being rotten. Our return flight was delayed 2 hours but we were not advised when we asked.
The sheets on the bed were not large enough for the mattress and came off every night. Almost every chaise lounge was broken or the covering was ripped.

très beau site bien entretenu,employer courtois,bonne bouffe en général,
un peu bruyant près de la discotèque le soir, mais tout le reste vaut la peine d`être vécu.
ils vont nous revoir ça c'est sûre,
